Subway — Restaurant in Thornton Township

Myself and three teenagers stopped her on Friday 5/24 for dinner. The two women working were extremely rude, more so the women working the register. They claimed that they were closing, but the hours listed stated they were open for another 45 minutes. The women working the register kept trying to ring me up, when I was waiting for the rest of my kids to order. She kept demanding to know what we were getting. I had to tell her multiple times that only 2 of us have ordered and I had no idea what the other 2 in my group were ordering as soon as they told the sandwich maker what they wanted the women on the register shouted to the other worker asking what they got. She then rang up all the sandwiches and tried to get me to pay for it at that moment. I told her no, because I wasn’t sure if they wanted drinks, chips, or cookies. I hadn’t even gotten a chance to order my drink. At some point the two women were arguing with one another too which I thought to be extremely odd. Once I paid, I believe the women working the register got extremely upset because I didn’t tip them. For one, I don’t think fast food workers should be tipped. I worked in the service industry and relied on tips. They are not being paid “tip” wages. Not to mention we spent $70 on 4 people for some lousy sandwiches made by rude people. If I could give this place a - 10 I would! Being a truck driver, me and my partner often stop at subways to get bowls of chicken.. veggies ect to add to our cooked meals in the truck. We have never been charged more that $4-5.00 for what we buy. This lady here at this subway was sooo rude and in a rush and then charged us $18.00 for a pinch of shredded cheese, a tiny cup of chicken and 2 veggie burger Patty's! We would of never paid and just walked away if we weren't so tired and hungry and just wanted to eat and get rest. The lady charged us the amount of 2 foot longs! I've never given a awful review of this sort! The lady definitely hates her job and I promise to never ever give my business to this subway again! I was skeptical at first to eat here because of the reviews but wow I was wrong the customer service was absolutely amazing all the veggies looked great prices were a bit high but it’s a truck stop so what can I say.

The girls that served me were so sweet and made nice conversations with me. Especially the girl with the rings in her nose so sweet to you can tell they really love their job!
