Sbarro Chicago Southland Lincoln Oasis — Restaurant in Thornton Township

Sbarro is great because it does not try to do anything outside of what one should expect from a fast serve pizza-plus eatery.

They offer a very good variety of pizzas, they are served quickly and hot.

But they also have a respectable salad, a couple of pasta choices, and at this particular restaurant, sausage and peppers. I grew up with sausage and peppers being served at least once every two weeks, at every birthday, anniversary party, Christmas and family get together. This is a quick stop I make if I decide on taking the toll way to Chicago. Easy on/easy off Oasis. The slices are consistent and good size for the price. I always get it to go and eat it on the road. Albeit a lil sloppy unless you fold it like a true New York slice! I almost always get pepperoni, the one time I got veggie all the toppings were cold as I didn't eat it first, my mistake though so I recommend eating veggie right away. Went there the other day when my car broke down with three hungry, crabby kids and we were greeted by Krystal, who obviously saw I was in distress and gave my girls some samples to tide them over while we waited for our order.
