So, updating somewhat. I've had a few pies here, and my experience is a bit more 'nuanced' at this point, as I've now compared it with Aurelio's and Rosati's, both popular branches in the area.
Pizza is a subjective business. My favorite is not yours. That said, IFP best compares with Rosati's thin crust pizza, as both are prepared in fairly similar ways. Having tried the sausage and pepperoni here amongst others, and the same there, I will say a few things about them comparatively: A positive of IFP is that you can get a few ingredients you might never find at a Rosati's, but they aren't necessarily ingredients that I want on a pizza, and they will drastically increase your price tag. For comparable fare in terms of ingredients, IFP has slightly larger and higher end toppings, while Rosati's pizza is tighter, less messy and has a more pleasant marinara sauce that pairs better with its dough. Rosati's also reheats much better than IFP, so if you're going to have left overs, you'll be happier with Rosati's.
For the price: If you're not gaga for IFP's toppings and choices, I recommend Rosati's. However, you are getting approximately the same bang for your buck. The wings are better at IFP, however, so if you're including that with your order, IFP is better than Rosati's. This is a nickle and dime issue, so pick which you like better.
This said? Aurelio's is flatly a better pie on every level. Cheese, Dough, prep, customer service experience, cost, toppings. If you want the superior pizza in the north South Holland and South Dolton area, Aurelio's. But that is a personal take, and I'm more of a New York style lover than a thin crust lover, so take that with a grain of salt.
A particular note: Service is 3.5 here. Service experience has been very spotty. Depending on the server, curtness and rudeness are a possibility. Estimated wait times for pizza are rarely accurate (Add 15 minutes to any estimate). So, be aware customer service...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible!!!! I’ve never had such a horrible experience with any pizza place in my life. I called to order and was told 45 minutes for pickup. I went in after the time it should have been ready, and my pizza still wasn’t ready. So I was told to wait in my car, and they would call me as soon as it’s ready. Nobody is allowed to wait inside due to COVID, which is understandable.
I ended up waiting an additional 55 minutes for my pizza, and nobody ever called to tell me it was ready. So whoever is supposed to be calling people clearly isn’t doing that. Because they didn’t call the woman who was parked next to me either. My pizza wasn’t hot at all when I finally did get it. So who knows how long it had been sitting there, and how much longer I would have waited if I hadn’t took it upon myself to keep inquiring about my order. And the fact that nobody even apologized tells me that this is normal service for them.
By the way, NONE of the employees had on hair nets, gloves or masks. And we’re in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The pizza was okay, not the greatest I’ve had. Not even in the top 5. And definitely not worth waiting almost 2 hours for. I would never recommend anyone to go here. If you value customer service and have other things to do with your day besides wait, avoid this place at all costs!!!
There are so many amazing pizza places, where you can get a pizza in 30 minutes and go on with your day. I’ve ordered 4 pizzas from Aurelios on a busy Friday night, and my order was still ready within 30 minutes. And they get wayyyyyy more traffic and customers than I’ve ever seen at Italian Fiesta. Not to mention Aurelio’s also has people dining in, but they still manage to get the carryout orders ready by the promised time. But it took Italian fiesta almost 2 hours to make one pizza on a day that wasn’t even busy. Nothing about it is even remotely worth the wait....
Read moreIt is Sunday June 14th, and I called at 625pm, and I was told they would call when ready. There was no call, as a matter of fact, I go in at 8pm. Kiara was the young lady at window who was very pleasant, smiling and doing her part. The lady in front of me stated that no one called her like they said they would. There was a gentleman up there with Kiara and when I got up there I asked her was she the one answering the phone and she said no. I told her whoever it was that was answering the phone, was not actually saying a word..it was a young lady..she immediately put it on hold without saying anything and I take it she was the one who was not calling people when orders were ready. Kiara told the gentleman and he did not say anything or react. Kiara just shrugged her shoulders. No problem with Kiara whatsoever...Whoever the guy was I do know he has some authority over the shift. Since the 14th I have not been back and would hope that things are better. When I left out of the store there was a couple in their car sure enough waiting for a call, I let them know, no calls today and your pizza is probably ready. I truly give credit where credit is due. That was just disheartening and it would have been nice for the guy to say, I am so sorry about that and I am going to look into that. I want nothing for free or discount, I just would have liked for him to acknowledge what was happening..As a people we must do better. My experience is not like this always yet I am always prepared for whatever and it should not be like that..No doubt, the pizza is awesome and have been for many years. I also understand things do go to the left every once in a while. Acknowledgement of an issue is just too simple, give that some...
