I ordered through the Drive Thru. The employee said welcome to Popeyes, I said thank you. And I waited. The employees and repeated herself and said welcome to Popeye's. And I responded and said thank you again and then I said oh am I supposed to order. I then proceeded to order shrimp and tenders with mashed potatoes and gravy and cajun fries, a large mac and cheese and sweet tea. I asked the employee to repeat my order and she didn't mention my tenders so I asked her you did get that I ordered the shrimp and tenders correct? She said yes. I said ok. And then there was silence. There were two cars at the window waiting for a total or Please pull forward., neither came. When both cars at the window left, I just pulled up to the window. Once I got to the window I was told my total was almost 20 dollars. I gave her my card, she promptly returned my card and handed me a sweet tea that was warm because instead of feeling the cup with ice and adding the hot tea the cup was given one scoop of ice which of course caused the tea to be warm and not iced. I didn't trip off of that because I knew that I had something cold to drink in my room. After a good weight at the window I was then handed a bag of food, before I left the window I said I should check this food and make sure it is right. But I did not do so. BIG MISTAKE! Once I got back to my room, all of my sides were correct. However, my fries were cold to the touch. And they gave me the wrong entree. Instead of getting shrimp and two tenders I got a five piece tender with one barbecue sauce and one cocktail sauce. I was so pissed that I called the location and they said the only way they would be able to do anything about it was I had to come back to the store, well I had already gotten settled in and had a schedule to keep so I did not have time to do that. So there was nothing they could do. I don't even know how that kind of mistake was even made because I know a box of shrimp does not look like a box of tenders. If you are ordering at this location PLEASE check your food before you leave. I wasted $20 and had to eat something I didn't order, and I was too mad...
Read moreOn the first night of Hanukkah this year, with my wife and I thoroughly exhausted, we opted for some Popeyes. I snagged a coupon, and went through the Drive Thru.
I was met with not a "hello" but "WHAT YOU WAN?". I read off my coupon, and asked to get tenders (the coupon said 10 pieces mixed or tenders) and was loudly told "YOU CAN'T DO THAT". When I reread the coupon? "THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU START LIKE THAT. MILD OR SPICY?". I go mild (I was ordering with my less than adventurous kids). When I went to order the sides (I get 2 large per the coupon) I'm told "WE ONLY HAVE MASHED." So, I guess Mashed it is. I also order a "2 can dine for 9.99". More tenders. More mashed. (I have a big family, and who doesn't like leftovers). Follow me?
I ordered in total: 15 tenders. 2 Large mashed. 2 regular mashed. 7 biscuits. I get to the window, where I see my cashier, decked out in her finest shower cap, and a mask no where near her mouth. Next to her? Another employee who has NO mask. Behind them, manning the chicken? A lanky dude, mask looped around one ear, catching air. As I'm reading the helpful "safety guidelines" flyer taped to the window, I'm heaved a bag with 2 large boxes. I leave, and head home, vexxed at both the rudeness, and lack of care for anyone's safety. I open our boxes to reveal... 7 pieces of bone in chicken. No sides. White flag is flown.
I filled out my survey, and called it a night. Several days later, an email response. 'We're very sorry to hear this. What number can we reach out to you to learn more' is asks. I comply with my cell. THAT WAS 3 WEEKS AGO, KIDS. Multiple apologetic emails. Not one of them taking the time to read my complaint.
Look. I could care less that I wasted 32 bucks of chicken (and I'm not going to lie, Popeyes is tasty AF). I care about my safety. I care not to be yelled at. I care that my order wasn't even CLOSE to right. I care that no one at the store or corporate wants to acknowledge any of it.
But hey. At least I can vent on Google Reviews so a few of you can...
