Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Thornton Township

This review is giving me distress just to create it. Popeyes used to be my favorite place for fried chicken. I think I have to find another. The last 6 times I have been to Popeyes...any Popeyes, the service has been horrible. Like the employees all got a memo that good service is no longer necessary. If I treated anyone with the lack of courtesy and abundance of indifference and sometimes hostility that I have received from Popeyes employees, I would not have a job...except maybe at Popeyes. When the food is fresh and hot, nothing beats Popeyes for me. However, I shouldn't play restaurant roulette when I want some chicken. One of the locations I recently went to was closed down by some sort of ordinance. I went to another and they refused to open the dining room. So my order that I purchased in advance sat and grew cold because I had to wait 20 minutes in the drive-thru to pick it up. Calling got nowhere as no one was answering the phone. I watched some poor lady walk around outside the restaurant for at least 15 minutes trying to pick up her order on foot because she didn't have a car to go through the drive-thru. When I finally got to the window the staff was disorganized, disinterested and just plain not happy to be there. I watched a shift leader and manager disagree about the shift leader's knowledge of how to issue a refund for an item that they didn't have. At least 3 people tried to get me to accept an alternative item because no one wanted to issue the refund. Finally I got the refund and my now cold food. Received animosity when I asked for the part of my order that was omitted. And a cashier that refused to give me the required sauces for my order. Someone else got them for me. There was no apology for the inconvenience, the lack of a requested item or the long wait. No discernable sense of pride in the job or care for the customers they were serving. ...

The absolute worst. We order for our business once a month from this location for the last 3 years. The last 2 times we tried to order was horrific. We got our order through this time. Placed it on Thursday August 30th for pick up at 12:30 on Sept 2. Arrived at 12:30 on Sept 2nd and no one seemed to know what I was talking about. Last month when we had so much trouble ordering I was assured we would never have this problem again. I finally got our order this afternoon that was scheduled for 12:30 at 1:50. Completely unacceptable as far as I'm concerned. This is an order that is over 300.00. I went inside after waiting in my car for 45 minutes to be given dirty looks and comments made under their breath by both the manager and the employees. The woman with the red hair and mustache was completely ignorant. The manager was telling other customer she couldn't take their order because of this surprise order also. Sent them to go outside in the drive threw. Talking about a surprise order that no one knew about. Even though I place my order with the manager Taneisha 2 days prior. This is the worst establishment and not sure what happened after 3 years of doing business with them but this will be the very last time we ever order from this location. I already tried to complain to corporate last month with absolutely no avail. They wanted to send me a $ 5.00 off coupon. What a joke. Will never use this location again and would recommend anyone in the area to use another location also. I would give ZERO stars if possible but it doesn't give...

Let me start off by saying I’m from Harvey so if I complain about a food joint it gotta be real lbvs. Just moved this way and wanted to get Popeyes for me and my lady so ordered thru app and went thru drive thru to pick up on August 3, 2024 06:36pm to be exact; the speaker was so low I heard pull up to the window I get to the window and the first thing the thicker female with red hair(no hair net but touching all the food) says when she comes is” I don’t have the name for your order and didn’t I tell you don’t pull up” I was stunned at who she was talking to; she then proceeded to tell me come inside to get out her drive thru so I came inside and waited 15-20 min while they were attending to their associates from the outside world giving free food to men that looked twice their age then she proceeded to tell me there was no Mac and cheese now usually restaurants would ask the customer is there anything they can substitute since it’s their inconvenience but no she decided to make her own decisions and put her own sides she then gave me the bag with the rudest look ever like as if me coming in and spending my hard earned money was a problem with her I literally got the food and told my girl let’s go somewhere else to eat I wouldn’t eat that food if it’s free how could I trust food from people that act like that. Will never go back to this location and will be telling family and friend to never eat here as well do...
