Terrible experience with Menards' management team. The cashier was perfect but when she attempted to get assistance from the management team.....she was passed from one person to another.
A display item was marked with a 'sale' price ($17.99). I asked where to find the item and the cashier promptly directed me....but the item did not ring up as marked...instead it was $54.99. A request for management assistance was placed by the cashier...resulting in the arriving manager stating.....'This is not my division...I can't help'. A floor associate was told to assist....I was given the same item and it also was priced at $54.99..this associate delivered messages between the correct division manager (Karina C.) and me a few times....never did the manager appear and speak to me. I was offered an 'inconvenience' discount ($10); was told a pricing mistake was made and nothing more could be done.
I did not make the mistake! What happen to customer service? There are Lowe's and Home Depots in my area....I'm done with Menards.....The corporate office will be notified.
Be wary of sale price items...check twice.....in doubt don't bother with asking for assistance...you're on your own!

Read moreI love Menards, but my experience with staff has been unfavorable in recent visits. I went to purchase a grill. There were no more grills in the box's under the display (this was a smaller flat grill), so I took the display to the check out along with my other purchases I did seek help, but no one around wanted to help they were too busy talking to one another to notice I needed help even though I took the display down 6 feet away from 3 employees. When I got to the check out I explained the situation, and the cashier called the lead! The lead was rude! She said we don't typically sell displays! I said "everything in the store is on display, and asked if I could get a Managers approval to buy the display, and she just walked away from me. Good thing the cashier called a manager and the got a new box from upstairs, but I felt very unappreciated as a customer, but I wanted the grill so I waited. I had the feeling they would of rather me walk put the store without the purchase so they wouldn't have to do thier job. Since I don't live close I'll chose a different store in the future. If anyone reading this has an issue check the cameras I was a very polite customer treated poorly...
Read moreOrdered online..Not ready when recvd email. Staff looked for 1 hour for the missing parts. Dept manager said "she would do nothing". We sent an email to store manager and never responded (that was sent 10 days ago). Got an email from customer service that nothing will be done..prices low enough. I thought the manager would like to know just how badly most of his employees treated a customer..guess not. Maybe he knows and maybe he does not care. So disappointed..my money spends the same everywhere..but never at menards in Dolton and very questionable at other menards locations.
Thank you for the canned response..it means nothing to me. You have our email address; we tried to solve this before this was posted but you and your company do not want to be held accountable. I am not going to waste my time trying to contact you..if you care you will be in touch with me.
December 10th and still nothing from menards..does not surprise me. Worst $300.00 purchase ever made!! I would think a good manager would like to hear how his employees talked and treated a customer. All I can say is wow!! I have started doing more at Home Depot..much happier and more respected...
