One of my pet peeves is when people are engrossed in a phone conversation and not paying attention to cooking, especially during business transactions. Last Friday night October 4th 2024, I visited Sharks and ordered my usual wings and shrimp. I made a special request to the young Black lady, to ensure that my fries were freshly prepared. I observed her accurately conveying my instructions to the cooking man on the phone focused on the conversation. However, when I opened my order in the car, I was disappointed to find a mix of old, warm, and cold fries. Upon further inspection, I even discovered some frozen fries. I immediately returned back and spoke to the same young lady who took my order. I explained the issue, and she agreed with me after examining the fries. I emphasized that had the cook been more focused on the order rather than the conversation, the mistake could have been avoided. I kindly requested a fresh order. The situation took a turn for the worse when the cook came over, dismissed my complaint, and insinuated there was nothing wrong with the fries. This disrespectful behavior tried to minimized it, as I had paid for the food and expected better quality. I also pointed out that selling undercooked or cold food may violate Illinois health regulations . The cook and owner's disregard for me and the black community is unacceptable, suggesting a lack of respect for our intelligence. I also discovered that the shrimp were undercooked, prompting me to reheat them in an air fryer. It is evident that Sharks pre-cooks their fries and reheats them over hot grease instead of preparing them fresh. I plan to address this...
Read moreThe food here has always been delicious; my issues are not with that aspect. I went there Monday afternoon and there wss a huge puddle of water under their air conditioning unit. Anyone could have fallen!!! I told the cashier about this before placing my order: she looked at me like "mind your business" and took my order.
Also, the owners have no respect for their disabled patrons. I use a walker to get around and the ONLY handicapped parking space was taken. I waited to see which able-bodied customer owned the vehicle, but no customer ever went to this vehicle. As I waited for my order and asked about the vehicle in the handicapped space and was told it BELONGED TO THE OWNER!!! I'm never spending any money...
Read moreWent to get chicken from this joint. Whoever the girl was that worked there on 1/18/22 about 3:30 in the afternoon was RUDE AS EVER. We were asking her about the charges and she blew up on us and slammed the drive thru door on us. We weren't being rude, just asking her and she was ridiculous. We bought chicken wings that looked like they cut them off the chicken and threw them in the grease (lots of feathers and tiny). The wings were black as though they were bad from the start. I really hope the owner take heed in this review or at the very lease... Look at your cameras to see how she treats your customers. I for one WILL NEVER COME BACK to that location in...
