I hadn’t originally planned to leave a review, but after receiving a call from Platinum Bridal regarding a negative review they believed came from someone in my party, I felt compelled to share my own experience. While I appreciated the owner’s apology, I hadn’t seen the review or recognized the name mentioned. Their assumption that the review was connected to my visit suggested they may have already recognized that our appointment hadn’t gone as well as expected.
To start, I want to acknowledge my own role in how the appointment played out. This was the first bridal appointment I scheduled, and I initially booked a 45-minute preview appointment to explore styles. When my mom later made plans to visit from out of state, I arranged additional appointments at other boutiques. Unfortunately, there was no way to change or upgrade the appointment type through Platinum Bridal’s website. By the time of my visit, I had already narrowed down some preferences based on prior appointments. I shared this with the stylist and apologized, explaining that while my needs had evolved, I was still happy to stick to the 45-minute appointment. I communicated this clearly to avoid any confusion or frustration on either side—had there been any concerns about this upfront, I would have appreciated equally clear communication in return. I would have completely understood if my own mistake had warranted a rescheduling or cancellation.
My first concern actually came before the appointment. Platinum Bridal advertises the Eddy K Milano Couture collection on their website (image attached), but when I called to inquire, I was informed they do not carry it. I later confirmed that Amanda’s Bridal is the exclusive local retailer for this line. Had I known this upfront, I likely would have never made the appointment. However, I did not want to cancel because I had already paid a non-refundable booking fee.
This leads to my second concern: of the seven bridal shops I visited, Platinum Bridal was the only one that charged a non-refundable appointment fee (image attached). All the other salons I visited either required a card on file or collected a refundable deposit if canceled with proper notice.
The third issue arose when I received an email from the salon on April 15th promoting a “$599 Sample Sale” running April 28th-May 3rd (image attached). I clicked the link immediately, hoping to preview some gowns ahead of my mom’s arrival, but there were no appointments available before the sale ended. Maybe there was a technical issue and there were no bad intentions, but this felt misleading and gave the impression of a bait-and-switch promotion.
My most significant concern, however, was related to price transparency. The website lists 12 collections priced between $1,100 and $4,500. During my appointment, I shared a budget range of $3,000 to $4,000 and also added that I was open to looking at dresses outside that range if they fit my interests. The stylist responded that dresses start at $4,500 due to tariffs. As an accountant, I found that explanation both inaccurate and concerning. The lowest priced dress on their website is advertised at $1,100. For this to become $4,500 based on tariffs alone, there would need to be an applicable tariff of nearly 310%. Not only could I not find a tariff rate nearly this high, none of the other six shops that I visited had this heavy of a “tariff” impact. That comment alone solidified my decision not to purchase from this salon before I even tried anything on.
Additionally, none of the details I expressed interest in were reflected in the dresses that were pulled for me. I had shared some preferences based on what I had learned at a previous appointment, but the selections didn’t seem to align with those at all. I do understand this may have been a result of the type of appointment I scheduled. I recognize there may have been limitations in how the stylist prepared. However, I had hoped that by clearly explaining the situation at the beginning, my preferences might still be taken into account to...
Read moreI can't recommend Platinum Bridal enough! It has easy access off I-25, and was around the side of the building. We saw the beautiful natural light studio upstairs from the parking lot.
From the moment I walked in, I knew it was a hidden Gem. The space was bright and relaxed but classic. Tori greeted us warmly and showed us to a really comfortable, beautiful showroom for us to use for the appointment. There was a gorgeous mirror, nice couches, and a cushiony brand new carpet to walk on. The dressing room was spacious and Tori was very respectful of my privacy, only coming in to help finish buttoning up the dress after checking each time.
We had been to a very pushy place just an hour before this. They seemed to be following a pretty corny script, and were very insistent on me trying on gowns way out of my price range.
Meeting Tori right afterwards was a night and day experience! I told her what I liked in a dress (turns out I'm kind of picky!), I showed her things I liked about other dresses I had tried on, and things I didn't. She didn't mind looking at photos from other bridal salons either. She asked great questions and I feel like she really got a feel for what I wanted to try on!
Their collection is beautifully displayed in a glass walled show room. Tori knows it inside and out. Because she listened to me, I always felt like the dresses she was picking were right on target! I never felt the urge to go look through the collection myself (as I had at other stores when the consultant was missing the mark with my style).
Dress one was a gorgeous sleeveless mermaid fit to see if I really like that shape- I did! Dress two was an elegant gown with illusion back, pure white skirt, but appliqué lace on the trim of the incredible train. Getting warmer!! Dress THREE.... was the first dress I've LOVED in this entire wedding dress shopping experience. Tori couldn't even help but to smile and nod when I walked out of the dressing room. My family and best friends immediately knew something was different, and I was so happy! It checked all of my boxes (remember I'm picky?!) and it was IN MY PRICE RANGE! Dress four would've been my favorite of all the dresses up to this point, but I had already fallen in love with dress 3.
I put dress 3 back on, this time with my heels. Tori told me to follow her to the insanely beautiful natural light studio on the other side of the show room. The way the dress sparkled subtly in the light, the way it moved when I walked, the way it made me feel... such a relief after 3 days of dress shopping to have an experience like this!! I couldn't believe how well Tori had me figured out by the third dress.
To conclude: Tori and Platinum bridal is 5 stars all the way!! She was so fun, kept the mood light, discussed each dress with me and I felt heard. She helped me fall in love with a dress (for my first time) and I'm so, so happy I went to see her! She was so impressive with her bridal knowledge, and the vocabulary for all the components of a dress that I love. Thank you so much Tori for helping me find...

If I could give negative stars, I would. Platinum Bridal didn’t just sell me a wedding dress—they sold me a nightmare. This was supposed to be one of the most magical parts of my life. Instead, I was manipulated, deceived, and gaslight by a business that clearly puts profits over people.
Platinum Bridal promised a dress that matched the store model, designer photos and size chart. I was told my dress would be only one inch shorter than the sample I tried on. That was the only reason I placed the order. When I got my dress, it was poorly made and 3-4 inches too short. The mesh panel sides were misplaced 3-4 inches higher on my ribs, creating a completely different look. The cups were shaped different and the lace pattern was entirely off. When I called Platinum Bridal, they blamed me, dismissed my concerns, and gaslight me into thinking I was imagining things — even after I sent them side-by-side photos proving the dress did not match their store model or advertised photos.
Platinum Bridal promised to provide measurements of their sample to show there were no discrepancies. But after measuring their store model, they suddenly changed their story and refused to provide the measurements of the sample dress. Why? Because their sample was vertically “stretched out” 3-4 inches from too many brides trying it on. Wedding dresses don’t just grow longer on a hanger.
For weeks, they strung me along with empty promises, trying to convince me their tailor could “fix” a fundamentally flawed dress. When pressed about adding 3-4 inches of fabric, they wavered, then backed down and said it could not be fixed. When I asked them to return the dress to the designer for verification, they flat-out refused.
I spent over 50 hours trying to get Platinum Bridal to do the right thing. They lied, they evaded, they patronized me, and they wasted my time. If they did this to me, they will do this to you. Don’t take my word for it, read Cherie Crosby’s review, they did the same thing to her.
Buying your wedding dress should be one of the most joyful experiences of your life. Platinum Bridal made it one of the worst. They will happily take your money, lie to your face, and then gaslight you when their dress doesn’t match their promises. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. If you care about honesty, integrity, and your own peace of mind, shop...
