I went to McDonald's today and got a Filet-O-Fish combo with a bacon cheeseburger on the side. I was eating it in my vehicle in the parking lot and listening to an audio book when I glanced up and saw the McDonald's worker I ordered outside having a cigarette.
She waved at me and I nodded and had to wait 7 minutes before she went back inside and I could eat in comfort again. I don't think that employees should be bothering or even trying to socialize with customers outside of the McDonald's restaurant or drive through, but that is another story.
I went to McDonald's for dinner tonight and got a McChicken combo with a bacon cheeseburger on the side. As I was driving to the second window the same girl was still working. She was acting somewhat obsequious and attempting small talk when she asked, 'why don't you come eat inside instead of in the parking lot where it is cold'.
That really bothered me for many reasons. First of all, I don't want my routine or actions to be tracked by a fast food employee. Secondly, she should not try to tell me how I should live my life. I do not want to eat inside because I find it less comfortable and would much rather be inside my vehicle listening to an audiobook and enjoying myself and my privacy.
Overall, I think it was very unprofessional to bring this up. I should have a clean slate with each drive through visit, not have to get the third degree because I committed some sort of faux pas. Which I don't think I did, because I often see people eating in fast food parking lots. How does she know I am not busy going to work or somewhere in a rush?
How do you feel about eating in your vehicle in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant versus eating inside...
Read moreThe staff at this location is literally the most inept group of individuals working in fast food. The only thing they do consistently is provide poor quality customer service and not get your order correct. How do you forget to make two drinks with two meals? Missing burgers, missing fries, it's always something. Go in the morning?...can't get the coffee order correct.
I've tried this location several times as it's very close to home and always have issues. The staff doesn't greet customers in any appropriate manner, just stand there like robots and don't say hello, thank you for coming, verify order correctness, just stare at you blankly while handing you orders that aren't complete. Meanwhile the other employees in the background are laughing and fooling around not paying attention to anything work related, while often music plays too loudly or employees have airpods in their ears.
Atrocious level of management accountability and clearly no ability to assert authority over the staffs behaviour or provide any sort of meaningful customer service skill training.
There is McDonald's up the road on Washington that is miles better than this unmanaged disaster...
Read moreWas very disappointed in my service. My wife and I went through the drive through for a coffee and a sausage egg McMuffin meal. After getting up to the drive thru, they gave us our drinks and told us to pull ahead to the 1st drive thru stop .So we did. And we waited. And waited. For 20 full minutes. So then my wife goes inside to check on our food. After a few more minutes, she comes out informing me that they forgot about our food. Just happy that I finally got my food, I went to eat and they forgot to give us the hash brown. So then I went inside to ask for a hash brown. I waited at the counter for several minutes before a single employee acknowledged me. I then told then about the whole situation and the employee was not sympathetic about all the issues. They did finally give us the hash brown. Which I received. About 30 minutes after ordering my food through the drive through. Needless to say, that was the worst McDonald's experience I have ever had. And even though I live less than two minutes away from this particular store, I plan on driving a farther distance to go to a store that actually cares about...
