It’s unfortunate that I have to write this review as I’ve had many positive experiences at Renegade up until a few days ago. However, I will not keep quiet about this.
I ordered a Lola G’s which comes with guacamole in the burrito. Every time I’ve been there in the past, they’ve had no issues putting the guacamole on the side for me. This time, cashier went to ring me up and charged me for an extra side of guac. I politely questioned the charge, stating that guac actually comes on the burrito and I’m just getting it on the side. Cashier proceeded to get irritated and says “well I’m not even supposed to be giving you the student/teacher discount anyways because it’s the summer”. Typically I am a very non-confrontational person, but the assumption that I was just trying to pay less $$ prompted me to explain my question again, this time more direct. She proceeds to still argue with me about it and decides to get who I assume was the manager involved. He immediately puts his hand up as if telling me to stop talking, points at the menu and starts going in about how guac is always a separate charge unless you get a specialty burrito… which I did. After about 5ish minutes of this I decided to pass on the burrito and walked out. Mind you this was all happening in front of customers. The cherry on top was overhearing the cashier say “cheap ass” as I’m walking out the door. Yikes. It was never about me not wanting to pay, as I’ve paid full price multiple times outside of student/teacher discount hours (which why advertise it if you’re not supposed to offer it in the summer? That seemed like an excuse to profile), it was about the principal of not up charging me for something that already comes on my burrito. And if it was out of policy to give it to me on the side, they could have explained that every other time I was in there it was a mistake (although I don’t believe it was) instead of being rude and unprofessional.
To say the least, I will not be spending my money here anymore and will be attempting to contact the...
Read moreEdit - 5/13/2025 Man this place is honestly just hard to love. Every time I have a good experience, it's followed by a lousy one. Today I came in and literally ordered the EXACT same burrito from the EXACT same employee and was told that now there is an up charge for substituting eggs for rice and beans. I asked him what changed, and he told me that's always been the case - despite the fact I literally ordered the same burrito from him just days ago for $2 cheaper. So I'm getting less food by not getting rice and beans, but paying more money. A $12 burrito is absolutely bonkers. Hard pass, I can't even with this place any longer. And I have eaten here probably 50 times!
I'm from Tucson, AZ and we truly believe we are the American capital of the burrito. It's hard to find anything remotely comparable in Colorado, especially in the suburbs. But then, like a shining light over the hill and wrapped in a gigantic tortilla - I found Renegade. These burritos are legit the best I've had since I moved here. The numerous tortilla styles is immediately a great sign. And then covering that bad boy in cheese and putting it in the steamer you know you're in for a treat. The proteins are all impeccable, my favorite being the Renegade chicken or steak. And you can add all your favorite classics to make a gigantic burrito. But my favorite thing to do, and why this place is my favorite, if to swap the rice and beans for eggs and crispy potatoes. Truly epic. If you haven't yet, give it a shot. Local, tasty, and cheaper than Chipotle. Let's go! Support our hometown shops and death to Big Burrito...
Read moreNot worth my time. Went in for s sausage burrito and ended up with s sour cream burrito. She used a big spin to give me very little meat. She then used a bigger spoon to fill it with sour cream. It don't matter what name is on this place. They can not seem to make anything I will eat. I wish i could post the picture of what I am throwing away today. Is not that hard to make a burrito and this place did not earn my business back with today's burrito. Stoped there again and wish I didnt! This place needs to have management that can train people how to make a burrito. Nothing like a all egg then potato with a finish of all sausage burrito. They are not trained on how to mix the ingredients. I have a free burrito there and dont think I will ever go back to receive it. Hoping this place will go out of business and get replaced by something better! Gave them one more chance today 5/23/20 9:05am. F THIS PLACE. Making my burrito the gentleman tore halr the tortilla off so it would not hold the sauce I wanted. I bought the burrito and tossed it in there trash. I am going to buy breakfast somewhere else. I will never return here! If they care so little about the food in front of customers just think how it is where...
