The Point Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Thornton

A place of wing chaos. My companion and I decided to try the Wednesday night wings deal because wings call to me, from Rocky Top, King of Wings, Champs, Americas of Olde and Wash Park they lure me to feast. I have feasted on hundreds, perhaps thousands of wings in my time. Nonetheless we arrived to an enchanted place that beckoned wings-black lights making everything glow and the beats of olde bringing joyful memories to the many patrons. The waitress appeared with great speed and hope in her heart. We ordered the regular buffalo wings. Here is where things became chaotic and mysterious. Our wings appeared but were naked of sauce. There were four sides of what we thought was buffalo sauce. We dipped our wings into the sauce and my companion and I became the confused. This did not seem to be a regular buffalo sauce. While the wings themselves were done well and meaty, the sauce was a mystery. As I pondered what was happening with the wings and what sauce was given unto us, my eyes gazed upon a table of two men who looked confused, as if there wings were not what they summoned. There seemed to be wing chaos and confusion. The waitress said something had gone wrong. Now because I love wings I wanted more and thus more were ordered because the logical part of my brain wanted to have wings that I understood. The Point Bar & Grill boasts eight or nine flavors and we ordered some new flavors. Our next round of wings arrived, no longer naked as the former wings were covered in sauce. We placed the wings to our lips and began ripping the meat from the bones but then we looked at each other in confusion once again. How do all these wing sauces taste identical with a sauce that is mysterious, like no other wing sauce I have ever encountered? My partner and I were confused the big time. No matter what flavor you order the wings will taste the same. From the nine make one I guess. And the sauce was a little weird. The accompanying fries were delightful. The food looked different because of the black lights but it also lets you know the food has nothing weird on it. That's important. In the end confusion over what kind of wings we ordered and what we got was never solved. What wings did I actually have last night? Did the saucemaster have a breakdown? Was trickery involved? If I should return to this place of wing chaos I would like to know what I am ordering. What am I getting? What kind of sauces really lurk within the kitchens of a place that glows and drops the beats of Biggy? Mysteries...

I came across this establishment since I was doing laundry nextdoor and starving. My young daughter and I placed a to-go order expecting to pick it up after our laundry was finished. I was under the impression young kids couldn't enter but the waitress informed us children are allowed in until 9pm. We ordered and left. The sweet bartender went out of her way and brought it over to us. She was warm and welcoming from the moment we stepped in. The food was so good too. We ordered a chicken sandwich and Carne Asada fries. I'll go back just for the food! Maybe even a drink minus the kiddo and the laundry lol

2024:

Dropped in for some drinks for a girl's night out and a birthday celebration. We had a wonderful time. This place doesn't disappoint. The music is always great, patrons are always friendly, the drinks are delicious, staff is super sweet and fun. I have no complaints. I appreciate the staff taking steps to ensure the place remains this way (safe). I don't mind the rules. I appreciate that this is a safe space to have fun.

Beware the Michelada's are spicy (but amazing)! The pickle shots are strong.

Unfortunately this is the second bad situation I have had there at this bar. I thought I would give it one more try well because the food is great and it's right by my house so location is perfect for me. However once again the waitress and or bartenders are thieves and basically take advantage and steal your money. This has now happened twice to ME. I have contacted the local authorities. I am also in touch with my bank. I really hope whoever is stealing gets fired and caught asap. It is not cool to take advantage of customers and steal money. I have a basic insight of who it is however can not confirm. Really cruel. Food and location is great however service is terrible and the bartenders and waitresses are LOWLIFE THIEVES. BE AWARE. I am sure they do this more often than not to customers who drink.. I do know this has also happened to another friend of mines. My advice would be to find another bar and honest waitresses and bartenders to give your money too!. I will never go back here again and will definitely...
