I’m a big boba fan and have been to my fair share of both good and bad quality drink spots mostly in the Orange Country area where there’s practically a place on every corner. When I first discovered Chakaa in this area, I was thrilled and decided to give it a try. I was really impressed with the menu variety, drink quality, and overall taste and flavor. Truthfully speaking, the drinks are what keep me coming back, but I don’t know that I can say the same about the customer service. I think there is a lot of room for improvement in this area specifically. Majority of the staff at Chakaa are very dry and lackluster in attitude, often times barely saying a word to you as you order let alone greeting you as you walk in. This is quite a disconnect from the very cute, aesthetic atmosphere you walk in to with the expectation that the cheerful vibe displayed throughout the place would at least echo through the staff as well. The service somewhat cheapens the experience as a whole. That being said, I was presently surprised the other day when I walked in and was greeted by Kaitlyn. She was incredibly friendly, upbeat, and conversational and had a fantastic positive attitude. That alone significantly enhanced the entire visit! Looking forward to seeing more people like Kaitlyn step in and bring...
Read moreToday was my last time ordering from here. All of the employees with the exception of the owner and Billy are too buried in their phones or just too rude to acknowledge customers when they come in. I picked up today and not a word. I said "thank you" loudly and I got a "you're welcome" but only after the fact. I'm spending about $100 a week here and I'd rather take my business somewhere else where it's appreciated. The employees who work there need some training in customer service. It's really too bad because I do enjoy the Boba but I don't enjoy being treated rudely. This has been happening pretty consistently and each time I tell myself maybe it will get better but it...
Read moreCute little tea bobo place with food/snacks. Looks like a good place to study or have a meet up with friends. It reminds me of bubble tea cafe in NYC. Service is slow since there is only one person working. (Tip to owner: maybe invest in a little bell or a door chime to alert you when a customer enters)
I had the recommended super passion fruit and the quality of the tea is great and refreshing.
It seems like you can pick your sugar level, amount of ice and add bobo if you want. I've seen places in NYC where they have a visual of options to pick. It would also be great is they had more visual of what are inside are of the drinks.
Oh and their cups are pretty durable...
