Habanero Mexican Grill USA — Restaurant in Thousand Oaks

Went with some friends for happy hour because we got off work a little early. Website and menu says happy hour is 2 - 6. When we asked what was on happy hour they said it didn't start until 3 now. Seriously guys if you are reading this you need to get it together. The website still says you do brunch and it's been months since you stopped. This is how restaurants go out of business. Your restaurant should be packed every day and it isn't. Someone over there needs to figure it out because half of my friends are no longer going back.

I have always liked this place and the food is excellent. Highly recommended for your Mexican food needs. Only bummer is they stopped doing brunch on Sundays. They had been doing brunch for over a year and I never knew about it. I think that is really strange. I did the brunch a few times and it was never close to busy. The place should have been packed for the amazing quality and deal it was. I never saw it on their social media and never heard about it the two or three times a month I was there to pick up food. And then they're surprised it wasn't ever busy? Textbook failure in marketing. What's worse is that it's now been over a month since they stopped the brunch but they still keep advertising it every week in the...

Very disappointed in this restaurant. After reading the previous posted reviews, I expected to enjoy this new restaurant. There were 5 of us for lunch today. They made a table for us by pushing together 2 tables right inside by the front door. The service was terrible. It took an extremely long time to get our food. 1 of the orders was incorrect and my friend had to wait for another long period of time while the rest of us ate. All of the meals were brought slightly warm. Not hot at all. The soft tacos with chicken were extremely dry. The chicken was terrible. 2 of us had chile rellenos and we were both unhappy with our choice. The chili itself was extremely hard. The meals are not cheap. We paid $12.99 each for lunch time meals. There are no lunch specials so these are the meals that are also served at dinner time. Not 1 out of the 5 of us enjoyed the food or service. We won't be coming back. There are much better Mexican restaurants...

We used to love this place, but last nights meal was sub par. I was excited to have their homemade tortillas and so I ordered the shrimp fajitas. The shrimp had no flavor or grill marks and were placed on top of the peppers and onions (those were flavorful) it was odd, like a first time cook in the kitchen. Also, 2 of my tortillas were stale. The carnitas were extra fatty and not appetizing. We ordered the ice cream sundae that looked yummy in the photo, but was oddly missing half the toppings pictured. Maybe it was an off night for the kitchen because we had enjoyed this place in the past, but when you drop 50+ bucks on a meal for two it sticks with you and we’ll probably pass it up next time.
