El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Thousand Oaks

Each time I come here I feel like an extremely welcomed guest and the staff here are friendly, quick, and knowledgable. If you are looking for a good deal I recommend the $5 fire grilled combos which include chips/tortillas as well as the main item like a Pollo Bowl, burrito, tacos al carbon. My personal favorite is the Pollo Bowl and is so incredibly delicious every time. It is beautiful and packed to the brim, it is served nigh immediately too. The seats are always wonderfully clean and if you ever need to pop in on a lunch break, you will be incredibly content!

I keep trying the drive through, the same manager waited on me both times. I had to ask three times for items I had already requested same as last time. I ordered chili lime chicken tostada last night. I realize its hard to recreate what the picture shows but the avocado was brown no tomatoes ,the chicken was not the white pieces that they advertised. So I doctored it up at home. The manager also had a cold and I even asked her about it and she smiled and said yes she did have a cold. She did not wear gloves and she frequently touched her face. 95 degrees out and I came thru the drive thru to get some water for my dog and I, I asked for the largest water they could give me. I was on my way to the car shop because my AC stopped working. I ordered a burrito just so I wasn't asking for only a glass of water. When I got up to the window they gave a relatively small water (maybe a medium) so I asked for another for my dog. OBVIOUSLY THIRSTY PANTING IN THE BACK AND THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME $2.00 for tap water!!!!! I don't even think that's legal. Maybe .50 cents for the cup if you want to be rude. Anyway I left, gave my dog my water and when to McDonald's where they CHARGE 1.00 any drink but we're nice enough to just give me a water for free (a large!)...
