COCONUT SHRIMP OMG!!! Those of you, that know us will laugh. This coconut shrimp is so good the we have to order one to take home. Seriously. I know sounds crazy, but we don't live in California so it is a treat when we can have it. Mind you, I don't get any of the order that comes home. Lol.
Finney's is always packed. Definitely make a reservation.
Finney's has a couple of locations. Their menu offers something for everyone, but is primarily pub and gastropub focused. The menu offers great happy hour drink and food specials. Definitely worth the trip. The burgers never disappoint and the tuna apps are among our faves. Because we usually order a couple of appetizers, I usually opt for a salad. They have kindly accommodated requests pertaining to leaving an item off or adding one already on the menu and have specific protocols for meeting allergy requirements.
Finney's appears to be very bar oriented. It is loud and bustling. With bar and long high top group tables, regular table and both seating inside, table and even firetabke seating outside Finney's has a comfortable space for everyone. Many families come in, enjoying a great family meal with kids of all ages.
Finney's is a hidden gem. Try it. You won't be...
Read moreChicken is prepared “in the morning” so there are no non breaded wing options making me believe that it’s frozen chicken wings. Had the Morroccan salad 🥗 which was nice on its own but paid 6 dollars for what the menu called grilled chicken. I was expecting a breast of chicken that was hot and grilled but got tiny cubes the size of a lunchables kids meal pressed “meat” portion thus turning it into a truck stop salad that cost over 20 dollars. It was freezing cold as well so not freshly prepared. It should be on the menu as deli diced chicken cubes not “grilled chicken”. What is it with Los Angeles that you have to ask 21 questions so that you’re not surprised with garbage? And when you ask, the server doesn’t know and has to leave to ask the kitchen. The tonic was from a bar pump and was flat, ruining the drink. The server was insistent on bringing me another one but couldn’t connect the dots that it would also be flat because the bar itself has to change the tonic. Just a frustrating lame experience. I gave it 2 stars because for those that are not health conscious it may be great (burgers fries battered things pizza…) but if you’re looking for a healthy or low carb meal look elsewhere. The server was...
Read moreFinney's restaurants are fantastic! If you enjoy BJ's or Lazy Dog type restaurants, you will love Finney's. The food and beverage menu is similar to both aforementioned chains, but 10x better. To start, I've never had a dish I didn't like at Finney's. The wings are some of the best around, the burgers beat anything else you can find locally, and they have some of the best appetizers ever. If you love coconut shrimp – get them here. You will thank me later. And perhaps more importantly, the beverage menu is unmatched. Finney's offers some of the best local brews and feature their own in-house beers at incredible prices. If you love beer, the drinks will not disappoint.
Despite my unfiltered love for Finney's, I have to knock this location down by a single star for a few reasons. Firstly, this location is the smallest I've been to and always seems to be packed. Certain areas of the restaurant feel very narrow and claustrophobic. Additionally, the happy hour deals are nowhere near as good as the Porter Ranch or Camarillo locations. If you're able, I would recommend giving the Porter Ranch location a visit during their happy hour, as it's essentially the perfect...
