I really enjoy eating at Panda Express. They're a little more on the expensive side in terms of fast food restaurants so it's kind of a special treat when I do go there for my family. My problem is with the soy sauce. I happen to really enjoy my Chinese food a lot more when I have soy sauce with it. For some reason at Panda Express they make you ask for the soy sauce when you're at the register after you pay for your order. That is fine. But when the cashier acts as though they are going way out of their way to get you some or simply lies to you completely about putting some in your bag already, that's what irks me. That's exactly what happened to me three nights ago. I didn't realize until I got home, a few miles away from the store that the cashier lied to my face and put no soy sauce packets in my bag. They act like the cost for those packets come out of their daily wages or something. I realize I can go to the grocery store and buy some for myself which is what I'll do, but my point is that's something they provide with your meal there and why should I be made to feel like I'm bothering the staff for asking for some or just flat out be lied to? Read moreI do not want to go into how much I eat at Panda Express because it is kind of embarrassing, but I will say that when I go, I just get vegetables and meat so not big on the breaded or other carbohydrate heavy foods. With that being said, I can tell you that I have been to many Panda Expresses in the past so I have a lot of experience to base my opinion on.
Without a doubt, I would say the Newbury Park Panda Express is the most enjoyable one that I have been to. The facility is always clean, the food is well stocked and freshly prepared, and the employees appear to be more friendly. I very much enjoy going to this location whenever I am in the area.

Read moreThis is a 5-Star review for Shirly, who is obviously a relatively new employee to this location. Shirly was working very quickly and was very friendly with all of the customers. This is also a 1-star review for Matthew, who appeared to be managing the line at the time I bought lunch today. Matthew, you will learn with time that managing requires leadership, and while you were trying to get things done and I saw that, you were also pretty rude and pushy with Shirly. Please consider that new employees might need support and encouragement rather than belittling. It looks like you might be good at being a manager some day, but remember, treating people well matters, as does productivity and efficiency.
