Ubatuba Acai - Thousand Oaks — Restaurant in Thousand Oaks

I absolutely love this place! I never used to like acai but Uba Tuba got me to like it! They're toppings are always so delicious!! It's my go to place since I deal with health issues and have to eat cleaner and healthier, this place makes it easy and it's delicious!!

The only change I would make is when I ask for extra honey, and you charge me for it, I want a lot of honey. The honey with the acai itself is so good and sometimes you guys barely put any on and I don't know why. I've also specified that if I could get the honey on the acai before putting the toppings on, then put the toppings on and add a little more honey on top. When you put all of it on top of the toppings, I can't eat it with the acai. Plus it gets stuck to the lid if I get it to go or order it for delivery. And everytime I've specified to have the honey drizzled on the acai before putting the toppings on, it never happens and I don't know why. And the person helping me always tells me they'll do it but never do. I know it sounds like a small thing but that's the only issue I have. Don't be shy on the honey!! It's not that expensive and when someone asks for extra, please put extra on there! Especially if you're gonna charge for it! Otherwise you guys are...

Wow! It felt so good to visit the historic place where the original Brazilian açaí was invented. The real (non-artificial) plants places in the room made me feel like I was stepping off the plane into the lush country of Brazil!

The responsibility of this location was great when attempting to create a footprint in pop culture such as the açaí bowl. One of the best ideas that went into this project was the pronunciation guide on the wall which showed me the word “açaí” is not pronounced “uh-kai”, but rather “ah-sigh-ee”. Made me feel like less of an idiot when I went up to order!

The religious face of this company is the Great Grandmaster Carlos Gracie Sr. himself! You can feel his presence as you enter the premise. Felt at peace instantly, as you can read his twelve teachings on the wall, posted right at the entrance!

The açaí bowl was delicious! I ordered the Brazilian bowl, made by real imported Brazilian employees. An experience well worth it’s price! I will definitely be returning!...

My name is Colin and I never leave reviews for things but I had to for this place. I love this place, I've been coming here since it first opened, everyone there knows me and knows what I order. I kept this place afloat when it first opened before everyone and their grandmother started going there. Everyone that works there is super nice and helpful. The bowls are amazingly good and are always on point never had a problem with my order. But charging $13 for a medium bowl is insane. I had issue when they bumped it up to $11.50 but I thought oh you know what it's the economy I'll have to pay a little bit extra to get what I like. But $13 is just a cash grab. Next thing you know they're going to be charging $20 for a small bowl I cannot believe this. My love affair with this place is over officially. I'm never coming back here again. I cannot believe that they did this It's so sad. I don't know how they're justifying charging this much for a bowl. It was fun while...
