The Lakes at Thousand Oaks — Local services in Thousand Oaks

It offers some very good eating establishments.

My wife, brother-in-law and I ate at California Pizza Kitchen. It was very good food.

There is limited parking along Thousand Oaks Boulevard but there is a lot of free parking behind the restaurants.

I know that locals eat in the area and I know that sometimes they take their guests to this area. I don't think visitors and people passing on the nearby freeway know much about what Thousand Oaks offers.

So there are busy daytime work hour periods and sometimes early busy evening hours but the area goes quiet very early, sometimes as early as 9 p.m. weeknights and definitely by 10 p.m. so a lot of restaurants close by 10 on weeknights and it can be relatively quiet even on weekends with longer operating hours.

Those places that stay open offer good experiences. Some even offer takeout. The challenge for the city has been how to make people more aware and how to consistently bring people into the area and to shop, dine...

I know how badly a one star can hurt a business but I still feel this is deserving. A woman by the name Julia refused to give me a refund even after I explained the situation. I understand they get asked that all the time and need rules. However my daughter and I brought our entire family to show them what we could do in skates. We had been practicing! They don’t tell you this when you pay but they do not have the traditional figure skate with a toe pick. They only have a hockey skate. It was $20 per person and when I got my skates I decided to try it since everyone came. We did one lap and realized there was no way we could skate in these skates. Went there with my friend Ken and Ruth we had dinner there at PF Changs. We sat out on the patio right along Thousand Oaks Boulevard. It was an excellent view right next to the fountain on the pond underneath the Portico. I had shrimp with lobster sauce and it was excellent more than I could eat I took some home which was good for the next day snack. The waitress was outstanding, patient. She was Polite, Funny, very observant of everything that was going on around her work area and that when we needed more drink. we had a Great Eating Experience. The food was received Very quickly.
