Oishii Japanese Grill & Sushi — Restaurant in Tifton

I don't really recommend this place at all. Stopped by for a bite to eat on a trip back from Disney World. We ordered the Steak Bento Box and the Chicken Bento box. My other family ordered some sushi, udon, and noodles.

The fish on the sushi left a horrid after taste that left me wanting some alcoholic drink to wash it down. It also caused my wife to vomit a few minutes after leaving.

The noodles in the udon were standard, but the broth needs more love. The udon itself lacked any real variety in ingredients and flavor.

The bento boxes were okay, sort of. The salad was average. The meat was just soaked in soy sauce and lacked any real defining flavor. The rice was not good unless you mixed the ginger sauce in the center and the meat with it, as well as the sauce they hand you in a plastic container. The only saving grace was the dumplings. The dumplings are actually superb.

The restaurant itself was a little dirty and a bit antique in design. The restrooms weren't terribly...

This restaurant is always a great culinary dining experience. The staff is super friendly. The food is the best. Always hot and fresh. Ambience and atmosphere are not top of the line but very clean and welcoming and they make up for it in many other ways. Very generous amounts of food and not overly priced. Never discount a "hole in the wall" establishment. This place has it going on !

While sitting here reading the other reviews, I was not surprised how many 5 star and high ratings they had. Then you also see the ones who rate a 1 star or lower. Those type people are sad to me. Granted anyone can have an off day but I'm willing to bet that those with poor reviews always have a negative review, no matter where they dine. Those types should just stay home and keep their negativity within their confinement. Jesus Christ Himself could not please such people. And we know He is nothing less than a top...

Restaurant interior is atrocious! Seat cushions are torn and floor doesn't appear to have been swept or mopped in quite some time. Service if you can call it that is even worse than the interior of the restaurant. Portions of order were brought out to our party before the rest and not even their complete order. Other patrons who came in after us were served before us leading us to believe they were friends or family of the employee based on the preferential treatment they were receiving. Silverware was plastic and wrapped in packages as if they are for to go orders. Some of the food was served in styrofoam containers. This place is too expensive for service and decor such as this. Don't waste your money here. There are much better...
