We stopped in while traveling through Tifton, GA. Enroute to Nashville. We wanted to rest for a minute and eat. We ordered our food at the counter and upon receiving it, we sat alone in the dining room. About half way through our meal, the manager tells to us from behind the counter that we have to leave. They closed the dining room due to Covid. Mind you, we were the only ones in the entire restaurant. Just me and my teen daughter. There was not a soul in the place. When I asked if he was throwing us out, he said " Yes, I have to. It's company policy." I asked him to show me anywhere in the restaurant the signs that indicated the dining room was closed. He could not. He pointed to a sign that said a table was closed. But nothing about the dining room. He said I should know this as it has been their policy for months.
Needless to say, this was a rude and unprofessional way of communicating with a customer. To shout from the kitchen that we had to get out instead of simply saying, we're sorry that we cannot have any dining in customers at this time due to Covid. Or how about this. Put up a sign on the door as you walk in?
As a result, I would like any travelers to avoid this Taco Bell. Owners need to train their staff on professional customer service skills. They must also inform their guests of their current policies to avoid embarrassing...
Read moreI’m a DoorDash driver. Which means I represent the customer when I arrive to pick up an order. This particular day I had an order that included Diet Dr. Pepper. The chic at the drive-thru was assisting me and informed me they were out of the diet. So I began texting my customer to let her know in case she wanted an alternative. That’s my job. Well…as I was doing this the drive-thru chic made a regular Dr. Pepper and set it on the counter for me. I was like…what if the customer is a diabetic or something? The customer responded requesting Zero Mt. Dew instead. When I told the girl this, she rolled her eyes and walked away. Then I heard her tell the grill person to help me because I was “being difficult and she ain’t got time for that.” This angered me, because again I represent the customer, and I could not believe the level of rudeness this young woman had for a customer. Someone else came over and assisted me in making the correct drink so I could leave, and I told her that if she was the manager she should be sure her employees know what proper customer service was because I’m not the one. Ms. Mouth heard that and started popping off loud and ghetto as hell, so I just grabbed the order and walked out. I know it’s Taco Bell and y’all probably have to scrape the bottom of the unemployment barrel to fill those positions, but that’s just ridiculous. Oh, and upon delivering the order, I mentioned the regular Dr. Pepper and the customer said she could not have the sugar in the sodas for health reasons....
Read moreHow hard is it to make a bean burrito? Just a regular plain old Bean burrito. Got it home to find a random piece of corn just buried in the first bite - I spit it out (no thank you) and opened it to investigate - found old wilted lettuce scattered throughout it, along with multiple unidentified small chunks of 'something'. Did they scrape my burrito off the floor before giving it to me? Listen I know they've been busy after the storm so I understood why it took forever to order. I know the workers are probably overworked. And overtired. So I wasn't rude in return, I know everyone is stressed. But the order wasn't huge, the line wasn't that long, and the few specialty items were for my kid - all I got was the burrito. So to find out that the one item that I wanted in the order was that nasty, especially after my having to pick up extra hours and being short-staffed at work, getting home too late to cook and getting fast food for maybe the second time in 6 months? On a regular day I might let this slide but not tonight. This is the reason why I never go to this taco bell. Unsanitary, poor quality, rude staff - if I wanted this level of quality I could just get back with my ex. No thanks. I'm not coming...
