SandAWich — Restaurant in Tigard

Didn't even realize this place existed until I happened to wander past, but I've been to SandAWich twice now, and loved it both times! My favorite is the Spicy, but my girlfriend swears by the Cheesy. Popcorn chicken was delicious, and Thai Tea is excellent as well- easily the best I've had. Price is right, owner(?) is super cool, and the menu is so adorable (I love the names of all the sandwiches). Feels like a cross between a homey, hole in the wall spot, but super premium, kind of food cart-style menu.

It's a very new business that's naturally still developing, but seriously, as kind of a local cuisine nerd: don't miss this one. I can see this becoming an absolute classic Tigard/Portland spot, especially once Hall opens back up and the location becomes a bit more...

Wow—what an awesome hidden gem! I first spotted SandAWhich while riding my bike, and the super friendly owner came out to greet me and show me the menu. I told him I’d be back later with my wife, and I’m so glad we returned!

The sandwich I ordered was absolutely delicious—cheesy, spicy, and a perfect portion. I also got the popcorn chicken, which was perfectly crispy and flavorful. My daughter ordered the Cheesy Chicken SandAWhich and devoured it faster than I’ve ever seen—she loved it! The owner even brought over bubble waffles, which were the perfect mix of soft and crunchy.
