I drove here in the pouring rain, listening to the news and becoming more and more despondent about the inevitable decline and rot of American society. This was the day of the insurrection or whatever they're calling it at the capitol, and all the coverage I could hear was painting it as the root cause of the political problems in our country instead of merely a symptom. I mean do you remember when people were out in the streets cheering when Joe Biden was elected? I can understand being happy that Trump was out of there, lord knows I was, but Joe Biden? Joe Biden The mastermind behind the 1994 crime bill? The guy who has never voted against war as long as he's been in congress, like how more bleak can it get. The trump guys storming the capitol wasn't an attempt to overthrow the government, it was a temper tantrum, they lost and they knew it. Just like when a little kid realizes his mom isn't gonna get McDonald's on the way home no matter how many times he says please. The Donald Trump administration was a 4 year slow motion human sacrifice that just oiled the gears of the machine and gave the people in charge quick and easy way to write off any insurgent political movement that gains any steam, on the left or the right. Anything that steps outside of the center (which is just gonna keep moving right) will be shut down in the name of "preventing another trump".
All this to say when I stepped in from the flooded parking lot and laid eyes on that sweet sweet vanilla cream, all was right...
Read moreI drove 40 mins with 3 kids and a fussy 1 year old after leaving. For donuts. I was super excited cause we have no existing donut shops near home and I come in telling her that we came from 40 minutes away to get donuts. I start to pick donuts out cause she was rushing it seemed. Then I name what one box was going to be because I had a friend tell me. She immediately starts grabbing whatever she wanted with out me saying anything. I had to stop her so I can add a few others I thought my friend would like before she stuffed it to what she thought would be good. Ya I said 3 kinds of donuts but I wanted to atleast choose some. Anyways I get to my box, 3 people walk in lined up. I started picking different kinds for each one I wanted and I felt completely rushed, she was freaking out looking back every second at the customers coming in, very impatient seeming and I had to just pick fast without time. I had my three kids with me and I didn't need to feel rushed. Especially after a 40 min drive each way. No way. I can care I bought 2 dozens for 21.00$ for that much I should be able to take some kind of time to pick my food. Anyways. I love the donuts but I won't come back to this location with kids next time. Plus I found out there was a closer location. SHERWOOD. So I won't...
Read moreExtremely disappointed in this place. It has gone downhill. I received the wrong order from Sesame Donuts through Doordash. I ordered a box of 6 donuts and all of them were not the flavors I requested. I tried to call the store, but they didn't answer the phone so I decided to go into the store to correct the order. The girl at the counter was extremely rude right away when I came up to the counter. She acted annoyed that I even came in. She said that we received the wrong donuts because they were out of the other flavors. I asked why we didn't receive a call from them or notification from door dash letting us know that they were out of the correct ones and she simply said I don't know. Then I asked if I could exchange the donuts for different ones, or pay the difference and she said no to that to. I then asked for the number to the store manager and she said she didn't have it. She was unwilling to help me at all or make the order right. This is so disappointing because I have always had wonderful experiences here in the past and there was always a friendly gentleman working at the counter. This used to be my favorite my favorite donut spot, but I guess I'm going to have to find...
