Cabin Coffee Company — Restaurant in Tillamook

I am a former barista of 7 years. I love a good strong, balanced coffee! I have recently started going to this coffee shop in the last year about 6 months before the new ownership. I will say that I use to avoid this coffee shop for its overly sweet and weak coffee. About 6 months before the new ownership I gave it another try, and surprisingly is was incredible! Strong, bold and just the right amount of flavor! The barista with curly hair, late 20s I assume and always says, “what can I get for you hun?” Or “how’s it going hun?” Is by FAR the BEST barista they have and honestly the only barista I enjoy getting coffee from. I assume, like most coffee shops that there is a “set” amount for how many pumps, scoops or if eyeing it, that they use for each size cup. And I assume they shoot for a 22-30 second pull in shots, everywhere is different. But sadly in the last couple months that I have gone there EVERY other barista I have received coffee from I feel like I am drinking sweet milk. They over sweeten their drinks or just pull awful weak shots. It’s really disappointing to spend your money on something you can’t even enjoy. I am paying for a coffee and I should be able to taste it.. I would highly recommend the owner has the barista I mentioned above train these girls how to make a damn good coffee. For now, I won’t be going back unless I noticed my favorite barista is working!...

Good prices, fast service, two windows for drive-up, and a sizeable menu. If I weren't passing through on a trip at the time I would give it another go to see if we just got unlucky. The two coffees our group ordered both had a lot of coffee grounds just floating around in them. They were very strong (not necessarily a bad thing, just noting) but mine especially had the nutmeg + cinnamon floating as well, not well mixed. Nobody in the shack (4 or 5 employees) were wearing gloves or masks despite how cramped it was. Drinks didn't really match the menu descriptions either (one missing honey, both missing whip / drizzle) but could've just been two unlucky drinks. If the iced drinks were in a blender with more ice + the whip/drizzle it probably would have been better. Their food and blended fruit drinks sounded good though and their options sound very good, merely sanitary and execution of...

So disappointed I stopped in for a chai latte and was served a dirty chai (which has coffee in it) when I called to ask about why my chai had coffee it it, I was told they must have accidentally served it to me dirty (which costs more) the woman told me I was welcome to come back and get another one but I was already home. I let her know that and just got an awkward silence. I hoped she would say come on back tomorrow or another day and they would make it right but unfortunately just silence and an awkward response of oh sorry it had coffee have a good day click.
