Vineyard Grill — Restaurant in Tisbury

August 2025 - Tourist Review.

Food: The food is edible. There was no seasoning. I ordered fish and chips. I received, what tasted like, frozen unseasoned fish sticks and unseasoned fries. My wife ordered a burger and it came with no seasoning.

Service: Our waitress treated us with kindness. Unfortunately, 3 seperate customer groups came in after mine. Their orders were taken after mine, but their food was served before mine. I'm not sure why it took so long to make my fish and chips, especially since zero seasoning was used. One guy walked in after us, they handed him a plate of food, he ate, and he left. My wife and I were dumbfounded. Lastly, the menu we ordered from had many things on it that were only for "dinner". Normally, when there are different services, different menus are presented for those services (brunch menu, lunch menu, and dinner menu). At this restaurant, maybe they didn't have enough paper to print seperate menus? They also has to cover up a lot of things with white tape.... I guess because some changes were made? I have no idea. They just need to keep customer experience in mind.

Atmosphere: It's a nice place right off the water. I heard a lot of power tools during the service. Maybe they're doing construction? It sounded like a saw.

Our recent visit to this restaurant was disappointing. While the food was mediocre, the cocktails were especially underwhelming. One member of our group was surprised to be charged by the ingredient for a basic mixed drink—over $3 each for orange juice and cranberry juice, plus $12 for rum—making a single cocktail cost more than $18. Another guest ordered a lemon drop that tasted like little more than watered-down vodka with a hint of lemon, and a specialty cocktail from the menu also missed the mark entirely.

Service was equally frustrating. When our party of six arrived, we were the only guests in the dining area. An hour later, the restaurant had filled with several other tables, all of whom received their food while we were still waiting on our appetizer. It became clear our order had never been properly placed, though the staff did not acknowledge this directly.

Overall, the experience left much to be desired in both quality...

Very bizarre place to eat. It almost felt like it is a rented out restaurant or something but the food tasted good so no complaints there. The service was odd to say the least, our server didn’t even know what was in the menu and had to ask us a lot of question, I even saw them take an order for a table twice within 5 minutes. The soda was a can and it was kinda comical that I asked for a Coke Zero, was brought a regular coke, he realized it immediately and brought a Diet Coke instead, it was just so strange and I was fine with diet anyway. Overall this is a strange place with untrained staff, but since the food was good I might consider going again but man do they gotta work on...
