I ate dinner with my boyfriend and two young children at Maria's Italian restaurant tonight. We ordered a small pepperoni pizza for my 6 year old, a 12" Italian sub for my boyfriend, a 6" Italian for myself and two side salids. My other small child is a baby, so she did not need to order. My 6 year old asked for a chocolate milk, my boyfriend a beer and myself an ice water. Everything seemed fine until we got the bill. Alright, I understand a resteraunt needs to profit, but a small dinner like this should come to about 25-30$. We we charged $38. Unbelievable....we looked at the menu prices again & it didn't add up. 1st of all....the pizza was $1.50 overcharged. The chocolate milk was $3 for a child (a gallon alone is that price). The beer was not a specialty beer, so thats definitely not whete the price sky rocketed from ($2.75). The 6" sub was a dollar less than a full sub & the waitress never thought to inform us because it said nowhere in the menu about the price of a 6". The man who we discussed the dispute with complained about how much the labor it takes to make a sub and that it's the same for half as it is for a whole. I was seriously upset at this point. He acted like we were in the wrong for feeling ripped off. We could have drove out of town and ate at a bigger resteraunt chain for that price and been treated better. I would never recommend this resteraunt to anyone ever. If you are looking for an authentic Italian dish that won't drain your wallet, drive the extra miles to villa Italia or two cousins in the cranberry mall. Honestly, the food and the service is...

Their food is…idk. Mediocre at best. I understand that to the people in the town of Titusville this food is probably top notch. But it just lacks flavor any time I have given this place another chance.
I first started coming here way back when they first opening in the building next to Pizza Hut. Their food was phenomenal. But that was many years ago.
I try something different here every time to make sure I’m not just picking the wrong menu items and every time I’m just disappointed.
On my last visit I ordered the “Baked pasta in meat sauce”. I was expecting maybe some ziti smothered in a flavorful sauce with some nice browned, toasty cheese on top. Instead I received a plate of overcooked spaghetti in a sauce that was so watery I could literally pour it out of my plate. The sauce tasted like just plain tomato sauce with maybe a little oregano in there. The cheese on top was probably broiled for 30 seconds or so. I could only stomach about half. You literally can make better pasta at home for half the price.
Their side salad/house dressing is really yummy. If I ever decide to come back here I’ll probably just order a salad. Their garlic bread is also nice.
Their prices for the portions are pretty okay. I’d say that’s the one thing they have going for them.
Overall, if you’re looking to just have a casual lunch or dinner after a long day at work, I’d say go for it. But if you want to impress your date with a lovely dinner I’d skip this spot.
Would no recommend unless...
Read moreThis was our first visit to Maria's. We brought in a large group of 11, and they were great in accomodating us. Our server 'Tilly' was friendly and competent, she did great. The food came out a little in stages which was a little bit of a hiccup, but not a big deal. The pasta dishes were overall viewed as favorable and tasty. The fried zucchini appetizer we ordered came out piping hot, but seemed possibly to be a premade frozen thing ... Not bad but not great. My grilled chicken salad, mostly good, but the chicken a little dry. Prices very satisfactory. Aside from the little misfires, overall, everyone happy and well fed. We would definitely go back, and wish Maria's...
