So yesterday was Mother’s Day and we picked BJ’s to celebrate to start with. I want to say the experience wasn’t what I expected and I really like this establishment I can start with a waiter he was very quick to dismiss everything we said m. He did take our orders but instead of putting our orders in he went to the next table, took their drink orders and got their drink orders and Brought their drinks back still didn’t put our orders in. I had appetizers, which was Spanich dip, and it should’ve been put in so I could have eaten it before my meal instead, the Spinach dip came out with My meal which defeats the reason for having an appetizer. And when I ordered the appetizer James (our server) said to me that’s an appetizer I was confused because I knew that . Also, I had a burger. I had to wait and catch another server cause ours was no where to be found. Anyway I was able to get Austin’s attention Who was phenomenal by the way If he can get me the condiments I had requested w my meal. He was right back. When our server came back he asked if there was anything else and took off. So I need boxes for my appetizer since I didn’t eat it James, did bring them but when I looked over the other tables I seen they had boxes and bags so again I got Austin‘s attention and I asked him for bags. Of course, Austin was back in the flash asking us if we needed anything else. Oh, and I forgot Austin had a big party. It was three tables I believe but he still insisted on coming to help us. I was so thankful because everything we needed he got for us. He even gave us our Mother’s Day glasses that the restaurant was passing out.. our server never mentioned the glasses and he never made sure that we got them. He was moving so fast. I don’t even think he seen them on the table but James did give A lot of of his undivided attention to the table that was behind us. Also, he was not very pleasant. Oh, and the restaurant is a wonderful restaurant, but it was freezing in there and due to it being Mother’s Day I didn’t get a chance to ask for a warmer area because we were sitting right below the vent and the air was blowing , my finger ms became numb which made eating very uncomfortable. We ate quickly so enjoying our meals was not an option. Again, I love BJ’s and their food. I just did not care for our server. Austin did make it a pleasant Mother’s Day. I tried to tip him. He wouldn’t accept so here I am leaving a review cause I really would like for Austin to get the recognition he deserves. And I know I put 4 stars for service but if this review was all about Austin I would have definitely given 5 or...
Read moreTo sum up so you dont have to read all of this; The food was delicious, old fashioned was meh, lavender lemonade coktail was delicious, overall great experience, will definitely be going back!
I don't even know where to begin with this review. I guess I will start with the fact that this restaurant was so clean! The bathrooms were the star of the show. There wasn't a single thing out of order.
The atmosphere was definitely unique but in a good way plus the staff was very nice and welcoming.
Now for the drinks, I ordered the Tito's lavender lemonade cocktail. WOW. I was expecting it to be good, but not THAT good. Even my boyfriend liked it, and he's not much of a lavender or vodka drinker. He loves his old fashioneds, however, unfortunately his was a bit of a let down. Funny enough he actually preferred my drink. I ordered a growler (32 oz jug) of the berry burst cider, man oh man was that good. I'm drinking a glass as I'm typing this, im still loving it, and ill definitely be going back even if it's just for that.
Lastly, The food. As pictured we started off with the stuffed garlic bites (I think that's what they were called). When they were brought out they looked beautiful, and a little intimidating. (We didn't read the fine print and was expecting just plain ole garlic bites, my boyfriend even question if that was what we ordered) Turns out they were a hit! I ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos, with a small Ceasar salad on the side. The salad tasted very fresh. The tacos were amazing, decently priced too. My boyfriend ordered the prime rib / steak tip meal with a side of broccoli and steamed green beans. He said that the steak was delicious and so were green beans, but the prime rib and broccoli were not anything special. Ribs definitely were not fall off of the bone either. Lastly we got a carmel pizookie (unsure on spelling) and that was absolutely delicious! I have NEVER had anything like that before. So glad we got it!
All in all we spent about 70 dollars for 2 drinks, a growler, and appetizer, and 2 meals (pizookie was free). I'd say it was worth it. We were having a rough night with car troubles but the atmosphere and good food managed to...
Read moreDisappointing experience. Very expensive for what you get in my opinion. For four people and no alcohol on the bill we spent nearly $200 BEFORE tip. We had the dip trio appetizer, which was good but didn't have nearly enough chips. The "deep dish" pizza was a joke. It absolutely was NOT a Chicago-style deep dish like the picture implied. It was served in a deep pan, yes, however the pizza was reminiscent of Pizza Hut's pan pizza with a thick crust. There was barely any sauce and not a lot of meat even though we ordered the BJ's Favorite which was supposed to have 3 kinds of meat. The description advertised "house made meatballs" but I didn't see any on our pizza. The food took a long time to come out, so there was plenty of down time between apps, dinner, and dessert. The pizookie was the best part of the meal, however one of our guests was served a different type than they ordered. The dessert took so long to come out in the first place he didn't bother to send it back.
Our waitress started off okay with a nice personality, but she kept disappearing. She promised refills for two people in my party but disappeared for almost half an hour before returning with food for the table behind us. Once she passed our table she must have remembered because she brought a round of refills for all of us. I wouldn't have minded, however the rootbeer did not come with free refills and we were charged almost $5 per glass per person. By the time the bill finally arrived we were eager to leave, therefore we didn't argue the final bill.
When our pizza was served, we weren't given plates by anyone, and we didn't have any appetizer plates because we weren't given those either. When we asked a runner if we could get a plate so we could start eating, they said "I will tell your server." I don't understand why she couldn't grab a plate for us when she had to walk right by the stand of them anyway. We only asked for a plate to put our pizza on, why do you need to find our server? Our server arrived about 5 minutes later but it would have been much more efficient to just grab the plate yourself in my opinion.
We will not be returning and do not...
