We arrived at 12:00pm with a party of 8. We waited over 1 hour and 15 minutes for a table. The table they first tried to seat us at was meant for 6 people. We then went back to the front and waited an additional 15 minutes for a table that properly seats 8 people.
I am on crutches due to a leg injury. While waiting for our table, a waiter walked by and tripped over my crutches to where I almost fell down. He did not apologize, and when coming back through, tripped on them again. I repeatedly kept trying to scoot up to the counter as close as I could to prevent anyone from tripping over me, but the place was so crowded there was hardly any standing room. The waiting area was more like a mosh pit than a waiting area of a restaurant.
They were very busy and had loud music playing, so it was difficult to hear the waitstaff and others in our party as we were all talking. We were not the only table dissatisfied with the volume of music. The waitress also had a hard time hearing our table order food and we had to repeat ourselves several times - again, all due to the volume of the music.
The service felt incredibly rushed and the waitstaff was rude. At one point, the waitress asked if I wanted more sweet tea. I said yes and I was handing her my empty cup, she sighed out loud and made a circle motion with her hand because I was taking too long to hand her the cup. There was another elderly member of our party who has a severe food allergy and asked a question about the shrimp tacos, and the waitress rolled her eyes and walked away without answering the question. The food was mediocre.. nothing special about how it tasted. I ordered the Summer Special. I have been to other Gringo’s where the food was absolutely delicious - here, it was just meh.
I would not recommend...

The newest Gringo’s Mexican Kitchen in Tomball is absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in, we could tell this location had that same welcoming Gringo’s charm, but with a fresh, updated feel that makes it stand out as one of their best yet.
The restaurant is beautifully designed spacious, bright, and with a warm, inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for everything from casual lunches to family dinners or celebrations. You can tell they put real thought into the layout and décor, giving it that “new” energy while still keeping the classic Gringo’s vibe we all love.
The food, as always, was delicious and consistent. We started with their legendary green sauce and chips (addictive as ever!) and enjoyed fajitas, enchiladas, and tacos that were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The portions are generous, the presentation is on point, and everything tasted fresh and made-to-order.
The service was just as impressive friendly, attentive, and fast, even though the restaurant was buzzing with customers. The team here already runs like a well-oiled machine, which says a lot for a newer location.
What’s great about this Gringo’s is that it already feels like it’s been part of Tomball forever. It has that comfortable, familiar energy but with the excitement of a brand-new space.
If you love Tex-Mex (and who doesn’t?), this new Gringo’s in Tomball is a must-visit. Fantastic food, excellent service, and a gorgeous new location this is definitely a 5-star addition to the...
Read moreMy husband & I have visited 3 the New Tomball Gringo’s @ 99 & 249 for the happy hour. We both get a small Michelob Ultra the happy hour price as advertised on both of the Gringo’s menu $3.79 for Domestic beer. Each time we are charged the premium price of $4.79, I have spoke the the head of the bar I don’t remember her name as she assured us the price will be corrected as of last week same the again we are charged a different price than that advertised for the happy hour prices. It’s not the amount it’s the principle of them not caring they are incorrectly charged the customers. I have spoken with one of the other managers (Aaron) I went over how he is false advertising & over charging for what they have on the menu. I mentioned the Aaron the manager “ surely I’m not the only one who have caught this or brought the the your attention, his condescending reply was “ yeah you the only one” Aaron stated the issued is on the list for them to get fixed, I again explained this is our third time in since you opened &you’re still over charging. Yes, once we bring it to their attention they adjust our bill to the happy hour prices, but if you don’t ask or pay attention you will be overcharged. I have attached the menu showing(cerveza) with Domestic and the imported as well as the happy hour prices. We fell bad for the bartenders as they are confused as to why the domestic is ringing up as the higher cost. Again, it’s the principle of the matter as they don’t care they are over charging & false advertisement. Hope this will...
