My wife and I were looking for a lunch spot on a rare occasion that we were both home on a Friday afternoon sans kids. We passed by this place and decided to give it a shot. First of all, the service was great! From the moment we approached the building (me on crutches after a surgery) and they saw me coming and held the door open for me. The accommodated us and my peg leg (in a brace). Service was quick. Menus were brought; Drinks ordered; Drinks delivered - all in the first couple of minutes. The seating a is relaxed design with a country vibe to it. Wooden tables and chairs inside, and outdoor seating is also available. We ordered fried pickles (about $8) and there were Enough for 2-4 people. Then my wife ordered a wrap with chicken 🐔 and avocado 🥑 inside. I ordered the turkey melt and paid the extra $1.85 upgrade FROM chips TO fries 🍟 (see pictures). The portions are gigantic! We could've shared one plate and been totally satisfied - and probably full. I'm not joking! Additionally, the quality of the food is outstanding! The other comment I want to make is that my soda was never empty. The hostess came by and offered refills when the waitress was busy attending other tables. I love that! Only complaint (minor) is that they aren't serving Coke (or even Pepsi) products, so my Diet Soda was a bit odd. Not my favorite. But it won't keep us from not returning. The food was too good not to be back!

First of all I am an airline pilot who has been all over the states trying out different burgers whenever I get a chance. I have never been so disappointed in my life about a burger ,but here it is ...... My wife and I ordered burgers, I ordered the Boudin burger which they claim is a half a pound burger . First of all, the burger was not a half pound burger and the buns were so stale that they fell apart when we picked them up and I mean fell apart ! The manager approached us and asked me if everything was OK to which I replied with a " no not really as you can see these buns are falling apart" She than promised to fix the problem and Instead of bringing me out a fresh burger she brings out cold buns so I can make my own burger with the big mess that was left. Wow ! Do not come here ...bad customer service to say the least. I am recommending my airline pilot colleagues not to come here either as not even an apology by the manager was offered. The server was very nice to us, but the manager never apologized or offered to make us happy .

Friendly service, but on the slower side, if you are in a hurry, this is not the place to go. They have seating indoors as well as outdoors. We had a party of 3. We had 2 people split a meal. We had the burgers. Be warned, read fine print on the menu on how things are cooked and prepared and what comes with your order. We ordered our burgers well done. Also, burgers have mayo on them, I would order mayo on the side next time. Burgers are served with chips, but you can substitute fries for an extra cost. The fries were very tasty. It was a bit pricey for burgers, $55 for 2 burgers and fries, in my opinion. Take a long sleeve wrap/jacket. We were right under a/c vents blowing, and the area was cold. The restaurant was clean, and so were the bathrooms. The bathrooms used old doors for decor. You do have to pass next to the kitchen to get the bathrooms. Would eat here again but on a special occasion. Just do to prices.

Came for lunch on Friday, 12/11/2020, at Noon. They were about half full and no one was waiting to be seated. We were seated and waited a solid 5 minutes for a server to come by to take our drink order. His name was Chris. I ordered the chicken fried steak with gravy on the side, green beans and fried okra. Thinking that a cafe, at lunch time, needs to get orders out fast for those that only have an hour for lunch and get back to work, was not the objective here. My meal finally came. The fried okra was cold and the gravy and green beans were lukewarm and definitely not the required 140° required by law. I flagged down Chris and told him the fried okra was cold and he apologized and disappeared with the bowl of fried okra. He reappeared about 5 minutes later with the SAME bowl of okra that had been warned up in a microwave. Yes, it was now hot, but the breading was not crisp, but soggy. The next time Chris came by I told him about the okra and my expectations that the cook would fry a fresh batch and that's what I would get back instead of the reheated bowl that was brought back to me. I further told him that by treating me that way was a cheap and low class way for a cafe to operate. I figured he would take the hint and go fry some fresh okra.....but it didn't happen. All I got was an "I'm sorry", twice. By the way, I never mentioned the luke warm food to him. So, the management of this cafe, by not doing your job and staying on top of your game has cost you a first time customer forever, all over the cost of a small bowl of fried okra (15 pieces?) and some really poor customer service. You should watch your security cameras so you can find out what your servers are not doing to help your cafe. Good luck...

We stopped in for lunch today around noon and we were seated quickly. Our waitress greeted us right away and we immediately placed our order. There were two of us and we both ordered chicken quesadillas. The restaurant had a decent lunch crowd but it wasn't overly busy.

After about 30 minutes the waitress mentioned that they were working on our food and it would be out shortly, she stated "it takes a little while to cook the chicken." 15 minutes later we waved another staff member over to check on our order and let her know that it has been quite some time since we ordered. She checked on our food and let us know that they were fixing to bring it out, they were putting it on plates at that time. 5 minutes later our food was brought to the table.

The food was cold and the chicken wasn't fresh, the cheese wasn't even melted. We immediately brought this to our waitress' attention and notified her that the food wasn't acceptable and that the chicken wasn't fresh. She quickly responded with the chicken was fresh, she watched the kitchen cook it. She offered to go ahead and check us out and offered to take the plates. I informed her that we would not be paying for the food, it wasn't edible and the only thing I would be willing to pay for is the glass of ice tea I ordered. Her response, "You don't have to be rude, mistakes happen in the kitchen." At this point I was frustrated, disappointed and hungry but not rude. While I understand mistakes happen, waiting 45 min for cold food that isn't fresh isn't a mistake. At our request the plates were removed and she returned with our ticket for my iced tea, which I paid for.

We were very disappointed with our entire experience today and we will not be back to dine...

Out antiquing in Tomball, saw this place and thought it looked like a great spot! The hostess greeted us on the way in and immediately seated us with a smile. Our server was prompt and was very friendly. Unfortunately, the food was hit or miss. Fried pickles were good and the unique sauce it came with was very good. The Arnold Palmers were not that great - lacked sweetness even though it was made with sweet tea. We found that when we switched to a soda, they only carry a local brand with mainstream flavors. Had the cola and it was very good! For our meals, we had the Mahi Mahi sandwich and the Boudin burger. The Mahi was so incredibly dry and obviously overcooked that we sent it back - only to have the kitchen send it back out to us and we were told that it can't be made any other way. (??) We didnt mention it at the time but my wife is a chef with 30 years experience, and we were dumbfounded that they did not know how to better prepare a fish sandwich - let alone be bothered to try. We sent it back and didnt order anything to replace it. It was removed from our bill. I was excited about the Boudin burger but found it to have so much mustard sauce on it that it literally overpowered and ruined the flavor of the little bit of boudin on the burger. Otherwise, after deconstructing it, the burger patty was cooked as I ordered it and was good. I'd expect that the basic burgers on the menu are decent. Based on our experience, I can't say we would go back to...
