My husband an I ordered today for the first time. We have been so excited to try them since we found out they opened a location near us in TR. Needless to say after hearing the reviews we were left quite disappointed!! It's quite possible that we got them on an off day...however it wasn't busy and it was pretty early in the day. We ordered an antipasto salad which I have to say looks amazing but I have to be honest I havent tried it yet. We also got the Brooklyn Square pie (which they are known for) so on the menu it says that the crust is light and airy with a crispy bottow. That wasn't the case at all!!!The crust was so dense and thick it probably weighed 10 pounds. We ended up having to put it in the oven to get the bottom crispy. With all that being said I'd give that pie a 6 out of 10 and that's based on flavor. The second one we bought was the spinach artichoke pie with thin and crispy crust. First let me say that the flavor was outstanding but it too came with dense and heavy crust and we had to crisp it up ourselves. So they got the crust wrong on that. Would have really enjoyed tfyi g their other crusts!! When I called in my order I asked for them to add ricotta to my spinach pie, when my husband went to pick the order up he was told we couldn't add anything to their specialty pies which to me is ridiculous because as a business owner myself I would always give my customers what they desire!! They also weren't very friendly about it and considering as first timers who spent $65 on mediocre pies and a salad you'd think they'd be a little grateful especially when I'm going out of my way to support local businesses during this difficult time. Brooklyn Square was $21 Spinach artichoke was $25 Salad was $12 I'm guessing they really charged a lot for my extra...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThey never turn off their open sign? 1st time Went with my husband, their Honeymoon pie was amazing - my husband thinks it was the best slice of pizza heās ever had because the cheese , toppings and crust were perfect, except he didnāt like the honey drizzle. So he he returned a second time to ask for a square pie with pepperoni and was told they canāt make a square pie with pepperoni. Even though thats the honey moon pie minus the honey drizzle- bizarre.
Also 2nd time Artichoke slice - heavenly! However, the little lady helping us was snippy and rude because she was flustered of the amount of people in there. 3rd time went and ordered buffalo chicken slices that they forgot were in the oven that they forgot about until the place started smoking. Most recently ordered a pie and when we got there to pick it up they had lost our order ticket and we stood there waiting for our pie to be made. The counter girl told us it would be quick because the shells for the square pie were frozen.. which was obvious because we got home and the pizza was cold and had a texture of a wet cracker.
Long story short I will be returning only for my pregnancy tcraving of artichoke pizza! But wonāt risk wasting my money on anything else. I really dread communicating with the staff. ā the man making the pizza is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAn extremity disappointing and disheartening experience today. We ordered from them a Large pizza with half green peppers and pepperoni, and half hot peppers. Both light on cheese. For $36 plus tip, we received a pizza heavy on cheese, and missing pepperoni. The woman on the phone, said āyeah⦠got itā when I tried repeating my whole order back to her to confirm since she seemed a bit flustered on the phone to begin with. To be honest the fact we received an improper order isnāt the part thatās most upsetting.
The fact we called back and the woman proceeded to try to pass it off as ā the driver delivered the wrong orderā, because yeah⦠another house had just randomly ordered at the exact same time as us a pizza with green peppers and hot peppers, very believable. Then, she said she was putting us on hold to get her boss. She failed to put us on hold and we could hear the conversation being had, that she in fact forgot to write down pepperoni. We were expecting for them to be willing to replace the pizza. Instead we were met with a simple sorry, claiming they didnāt charge us for pepperoni. Which honestly is even worse. That means a large pizza with two topping was $36⦠crazy. When we pressed the issue her boss once again said sorry and hung up on us. Never going...
