I would've given this place a 5 star for the inventory that they have but I have to say a lot about his place. The first time I came in here I had no one greeting me or even asking me what I needed help with or looking for. It seems that all the people there are in there own friend group so if you aren't in the friend group you don't really feel welcomed as a newbie. The guy at the front was just staring on his phone and didn't even talk to anyone there but the people he knew. Another thing I noticed that there was a magic game going on and that's cool and all but they have around 20-25 people sitting right in front of each other in a tight store during a pandemic when out of all those people only 2 of them were actually wearing masks. Even the guy in the front looking at his phone wasn't wearing a mask. People were coming in and out of the place with no mask on and having that many people in one store during a pandemic is a complete joke. If I wasn't so nice, others would've called the cops and all those people in there have the potential to be arrested for not going by the store capacity state limit and as well the store itself could even be shut down for not abiding by the terms. And the fact that the manager or whoever was there wasn't even setting up a good example to the rest of the people there either which is a disgrace. I'm glad that the owners of the store prefer to see there valued customers dead than to go by a...
Read moreLet me start with the employees are friendly and knowledgeable. That's about it.
Before the spike in all trading cards mainly pokemon, the prices weren't bad maybe a.little inflated over retail but thats usually a given. But as of late have become straight scalpers. Prices double or triple over retail on sealed product. They have the celebrations mini tins priced at $20 and they retail for $8.99. They have all the celebrations boxes so.e priced at $40 some priced at $50 and then the lances charizard box for $70 just because its charizard. Yes I was actually told that by an employee! I've traded single cards with them in the past and would make out pretty well. Now I went to trade some in and was told they are paying 20% of TCG middle value and the resell the cards at 75-80% of the middle value. They tried giving me $14 for a holo base set unlimited charizard.... WHAT??? The owners are never there and if by any chance they don't have enough cash to pay for your trades they say the owner will paypal you! This used to be a decent store but now its just become a cash grab scheme and I will now be going there ever again. Oh and if you notice there is never any response from the owners on any review because they know it's the truth of what they are doing. Absolutely sickening! Now collector or family oriented at all.... Take your hard earned money...
Read moreStaff is always friendly, however this store has become a scalper. When I can find every pokemon product online much cheaper I feel the store loses its purpose. I used to buy from here all the time, but when I heard the Vivid Voltage boosters they have were listed at $250 I feel I had to warn potential customers that these prices are far beyond scalper prices. A quick look on ebay will show you that these are going for $110-125. The set was just released and will be in print for years. On top of that I know distributors are getting in another shipment this week. There is plenty of supply of this product elsewhere at retail or slightly inflated prices to stay away from this degree of scalping. Staff is always great and have even rolled their eyes and voiced concerns over greedy ownership and the recent price hikes. Other reputable card stores at least put in some effort to their store. They will do live breaks on twitch, have a website, and be for the community and things of that nature. Nova has no website, ripoff prices, and is just overall lazy when it comes to their business. Like I said I have made many purchases here in the past and the store has real potential, but buyer beware of their prices. Bring a smartphone and check before buying. Still better than Jiffy Sports on the other side of brick township, where the owner "Grades"...
