Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Toms River

The employees are always great, but I eat a lot of subs from a lot of locations some Jersey Mikes. The last 2 times I went here the subs did not have very much meat and the lettuce was turning like how lettuce turns into weird zombie lettuce when it passes prime. The bacon is also a gamble at Jersey mikes, sometimes it is good, sometimes it is old, dry, and small. Jersey mikes makes good tasting subs normally, but the value is just not there and there is basically the amount of meat equivalent to wawa. If you are hungry I don't think this is the place, a giant sub will not feed me and my older son thoroughly. The last time I bought 2 giant subs Italian and club sub for me , 14yr, and 15yr sons we ate all but 1 piece and my 14yr old doesn't eat very much he had 1 piece(1/4) of a sub. I will only be going to sub doctors on rt37 from now on unless I am out of town. Then I will probably go to wawa over Jersey Mikes mostly because the inconsistency brings the value way down when you get a bad sub at...

Jersey Mike's is nearly an identical experience wherever you find one. The menu varies by region as some selections are not available everywhere. The Italian and the turkey are my favorite cold subs and my favorite hot ones are the Big Kahuna (chicken or beef) and the two parms (meatball and chicken). The parms are not available at this location since earlier during the pandemic. These were still available in Flordia within the past year. For this visit, after being informed about the lack of parm, I opted to try something different and went with the Buffalo chicken. I was better off with a chicken cheesesteak as that was basically the same style meat and does not hold the Buffalo sauce well. Lesson learned. Otherwise, no complaints about the place at all. They have non-big name sodas at the fountain. Forget the name, but they are vanilla cream and root beer. A quarter cup of vanilla cream with the remainder as root beer is incredibly delicious. This is the second time that what I asked for was not what I got . I came in June13, 2022 @ approx 6pm. I ordered a reg #11 Mike's way. I asked for light oil and extra vinegar. The was only one other customer in the shop besides me. I went to the rest room while they made my sandwich. When I returned to the counter I paid and left a tip. When I got home I discovered that the sandwich was swimming in oil and there was no vinegar on it at all. This is the second time that this has happened to me. I'm really disappointed about this because I travel past one other Jersey Mike's to cometo this shop. Because I never had a bad experience before the last to times one June 3, 2022 and today June 13, 2022. I could possibly understand if the store was busy but I was the one of two people in there.
