Ob-Co's Donuts — Restaurant in Toms River

Well was a customer for 30 years plus but since being sold have seen many changes and cut backs and things that are nit what made opcos great for over 50 years. So today was the nail in the coffin so to speak for me. I do not consider myself cheap in any way. I believe that if something is high price as long as it is enjoyable then worth every penny. Also a dounut that costs just under two dollars not going to kill anyone. But when I get 3 cannoli dounuts to take to church and not one filled with any cannoli filling which was realized after getting ro church. Threw two away and saved one to bring back to opcos to show staff so they could make right. We'll what I got was hey mistakes happen, I guess we can give you a credit for another time. HAVE A GOOD DAY. Well what about the 6 dollars I spend for dounuts that were thrown away. How are you giving credit and not even take my name. So I walked away 6 dollars poorer and one quick blow me off. WELL IF YOU WANT A NEW DOUNUT PLACE THAT MAKES GREAT DOUNUTS AND CARE ABOUT YOU. DUDES DOUNTS ON ROBINS STREET TOMS RIVER. I Will be going there from now on. When the owner wonders why he has lost so much business over the year this is why. Bring back...

I've been coming to this spot for decades because their donuts are always a hit, but the service has consistently been horrendous. On a recent Saturday, I went to get donuts and had an awful experience. When I got to the window, the teenager taking orders never made eye contact or greeted me. Instead, she was laughing with her coworkers in the back. When I tried to order, she rudely said, “I’m listening,” without acknowledging me at all. I placed my order for a dozen donuts, but when I got back to my car, I realized she had only given me 11. Not surprised by her incompetence. I went back to the window and told a new worker about the issue. She didn’t believe me and made me open the box to count the donuts. Who would lie for a single donut? When she counted and confirmed there were indeed only 11, she rudely asked if I wanted another donut. Of course, I did—after all, I paid for 12. Horrible experience with the workers that left a bad taste...

Excellent donuts. Nice service. Not cheap. Worth every penny. My faves include the cinnamon sugared jelly donuts. But almost anything there is very good. Crumb cake Etc be careful when you go because it can be extremely extremely busy. I drove by this morning and there must have been 25 or 35 people in line at about 8:00 on Sunday morning. I did not stop this time. Best to go in off hours.

They do take callin orders also which is probably a good thing to do. I haven't tried this but may start doing. Once again I always stop when in the shore area at least once oftentimes on the way in and the way out. I guess that's twice!

I also recommend that if you're unfamiliar with their menu it's a good idea to take a good look at the menu online and be prepared with at least the starting part of your order. It's somewhat of a pressure packed experience to crank out what you want from the excellent selection after standing in line for anywhere from 2 to 20 minutes.
