Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Topeka

Last several times I've used this location the service has gone downhill. Usually its minor things that you just figure they missed this time. No big deal. This time I ordered with card in hand, as soon as one person was off the intercom (hadn't even reached out far enough to touch the board) someone else comes on with "what kind of kids meal did you want?" And I stated I hadn't ordered a kids meal. I was then asked what I had ordered and repeated the order. Screen pops up and I pay. Food comes out 4 minutes later. I get handed the food then told I need to pay. I stated I already had it said confirmed payment. I told her I wanted a refund for the first payment if i had to pay again and stated that someone about the second time the intercom turned on. She said that I had placed two orders. I stated I had only placed one order and only wanted one order and was only paying one time. She asked for that order back and I was told they would be out shortly with the second order. (This exchange took much longer than the "second order") and I didn't get my "second order" until 8 minutes later. I called to Sk the manager why it took twice as long when I only hit the button once and only wanted one order his response was to ask if I had paid twice and received by order as well as comments such as "I don't see how that could have even happened" and "what do you want?" I simply wanted to know why it took 15 minutes to get my food when it had been out there 4 minutes after I ordered. And perhaps an apology would have been nice, but not that it can be expected in this day and age. And I'm not one to complain typically but at some point you have to. I would suggest a different location or McDonalds just...

I had a positive experience at Sonic. The CarHop was the very best part of the visit.

The food was all right and reasonably priced given the sale; however, it would be challenging to rated as with 5 stars. The milkshake probably would be worthy of a 5-star rating. Sonic makes Incredible shakes!

And added surprise was a woman walking around with extra condiments in case anyone wanted more ketchup, mustard, or the like.

It is nice that they have the ability to pay in cash or card great from one's car. The tap screens work well and give plenty of time to make decisions and enter the appropriate information.

This Sonic, which is located on South Topeka Boulevard has easy access if you are driving South on Topeka Boulevard. Exiting is also relatively easy once one realizes that Sonic in the car dealership essentially share a road. This is not obvious it first and becomes increasingly obvious as one progresses forward towards Topeka Boulevard. Just be careful because of the absence of any signs.

It is completely different story if you're traveling north on Topeka Boulevard. They're probably ways to get around; however, the easiest is probably just to find a way to be going south on Topeka Boulevard because of the extremely busy intersection near there.

I made hot food at home and decided I wanted a sonic drink and left... drove 12 mins to get to sonic and had to wait forever to get a Large drink NO ICE.

When they came out they were eger to talk about the stupid survey but gave me a drink WITH ice... I didnt notice at first because between being in pain and them talking to me my brain couldn't keep up with how the drink felt.

I should have just got 2, two Liters, from walmart..... would have been faster and i would have got a lot more soda.

This is the 5th trip iv made to this sonic in the last two weeks and they messed up my drink every time! Between giving me the wrong drink and messing up with ice in my drink.

Use to order regular ice than they started filling the cup with ice to the brim... leaving only a few sips of soda... to ordering easy ive and still not getting easy ice to ordering NO ice and still getting ice....

I likley won't be back. Waste of my time, peace and gas/Money!

Why I kept coming after they got those new nasty fries for poor service...
