service here was absolutely horrible for a table of 6, we were told the wait was 30 minutes. we ended up waiting for over an hour. But a group of 5 came after us and were seated right away, i believe this was because it was the hostesses mother. Then when we were seated we had to sit in separate booths of 3 and 3. So not very accommodating. The food was ok, I ordered the chimichanga but there was not enough cheese on it and the beans had no flavor, the portion size of the rice and beans was very small compared to other restaurants we have visited.I also was disappointing as the adult food came out and the children’s food of just a side of fries and chicken fingers and fries came out about 10 minutes later. So I didn’t care for that at all after waiting for such a long time. The waitress took a long time to even come back to ask for drink refills. Was not even asked if we wanted dessert just was given the check. So i would say 1 star. I would recommend getting some type of seating of at least a bench or two outside to sit while your...

I went to Mecate ordered the traditional burrito and a combo meal. My food was brought out to me in less than three minutes. I even told the waitress damn that was fast! Brought it home started to eat, It was absolutely bland no taste, boring, disappointed in the amount of money I paid when I was expecting something flavorful enjoyable. I just threw it in the trash and took the loss. I wanted to give this new restaurant a try I did, I wasted $50 for nothing. The inside was very nice. The people were nice. The food sucked. I'm sorry but the only good thing about this place was the pretty lady standing at the door waiting for a table for about 3 or 4 minutes with her daughter in an otherwise unoccupied dining floor. Ordered a taco, 3 enchiladas and a quesadilla to go. The beef was bland, no seasoning, same as the taco. Flavorless. The store bought quesadilla shell had about 2 ozs. of chicken and a little cheese plopped in the center period! No sour cream for dipping and also flavorless.
