Falafel Bar — Restaurant in Town of Amherst

I ordered almost $50.00 of carry out food and added a generous tip. I got home and discovered I was missing a chopped salad I had ordered. Of course I called to see if they could just give me a credit as I was not going to drive back and have the rest of my food get cold. The owner answered and I told him the scoop and he said he didn't understand and gave the phone to the lady who took my order. In the background I could hear the owner say..."the order with two bags?" and the lady said yes. He, the owner then proceeded to basically call me a liar. I told the lady that I wasn't going to argue over some chopped up lettuce and that I would not be returning and social media could ruin them. Well I say Dinner BEWARE! Lots of money, not great food and totally pompous and rude owner. I had the falafel combo and the salad was so, so. The falafel was greasy and over cooked. I had also ordered a side of the fried cauliflower. It was good but you only get four medium sized pieces. The rice and lentils had clearly been around a while. It was clumpy and dry, dry, dry. I was so excited to see that they were opening because I love falafel...nope, not excited anymore...gross....

Food itself was great, that's the only reason for any stars. I ordered $350+ in catering and specifically ordered the "wrap combo" because it came with soup and salad per the description on EZ cater, which the restaurant website directed me to. I received wraps only, also did not receive the supposedly included plates and silverware resulting in a scramble for us. I called Falafel Bar, they blamed EZ cater and said I should have called and ordered through the restaurant directly (despite the fact that their website redirects you to EZ cater), they don't include salads and soup with wrap trays or plates/utensils. The person I spoke to at Falafel refused to take any ownership and really didn't seem to care that I was pretty inconvenienced by the inaccurate catering menu on EZ cater. Expect the food to be good, but if there is a problem, don't expect this restaurant to care or rectify the situation. You'll be told to call EZ cater to complain and be left out to dry for your event. Last time I checked, a third party that you partner with is an extension of your business; poor quality on their part is not your...

I went there with my friend for dinner and was really excited because both of us are fond of falafel. But we were really disappointed by the behavior of their staff. I don't know her name. She was extremely rude, with lot of arrogance and attitude. We asked for a corner table as our preferred table immediately after we entered and we could see all the corner tables were available. I don't think that is something wrong to ask for. She was upset and gave weird expression(s) and it was clear on her face that she was angry. I gave her the benefit of doubt that she must be tired after a long day and when finally she gave us a corner table - we smiled and said "we appreciate your kindness. thank you so much for arranging this corner table for us". Sadly she responded "are you sure you appreciate this? are you sure you liked this" with lot of arrogance. It took a lot of time for her to serve the food that we ordered but the quality was very poor. It wasn't warm as well. We felt that we were discriminated from the other customers for no reason at all. We still gave tip for the service, but we will never ever come to this...
