Vin-Chet is a delightful find for anyone who needs to avoid gluten. All items are made in house in a Certified GF kitchen. The bakery churns out basics like bread ๐Ÿž including Rye; bagels; and dinner and sub rolls. Their almond rings, variety of cookies ๐Ÿช, cupcakes ๐Ÿง, donuts, pies and special occasion cakes ๐ŸŽ‚ are so delicious that it's hard to believe they are gluten free. Seasonal items, like the frosted Halloween ๐ŸŽƒ ๐Ÿ‘ป๐Ÿ•ธ cookies keep it fun! In addition to the glass cases of bakery goods, there are also freezers with pizzas ๐Ÿ•, frozen entrees (like Mac and cheese) and of course, frozen baked goods ๐Ÿฐ. Don't forget to get a sub before leaving. My go-to is the Buffalo favorite assorted sub ๐Ÿฅ–. So good! Sign up for the loyalty program - the points add up!! โœ…๏ธ They also ship across the US.

Vin Chet's Gluten Free bakery is absolutely bonkers to me these days. I used to get goods from there back when my gluten free journey started about 12 years ago, and now I wouldn't bother for a single thing. I'm disgusted and disappointed in how their product quality has practically diminished completely; Crumby and solid cupcakes ( Good luck biting into them ) , and rubbery cookies? I've baked independently for YEARS, gluten free and gluten containing, and I can't wrap my head around how they achieved this consistency. Never again. The real kicker, after spending the $30 for these two things, & saying something to them about it, there's nothing they can do? We will definitely NOT be going back - They didn't even offer anything to replace it or swap it for anything else.

*Great bakery to check out even if you aren't on a GF diet* I stopped in because I saw a "Gluten Free Bakery" and they did not disappoint! Vin-Chet's has a range of foods from sandwiches to pizzas, drinks, frozen bread, and desserts such as cakes, donuts and cupcakes. I got a peanut donut since Tim Horton's did not have them the other day, and this one was delicious, as was the key lime cupcake I got. You couldn't tell it was GF, it was moist and had a soft texture. A lot of GF products can be grainy, but these goods weren't. I'll definitely go back for more. I'd like to ask if they have dairy free and vegan options during my next visit. I'm glad they have picnic tables out front. It's nice to have a place to sit and enjoy a treat.

I have celiac disease and have enjoyed getting a baked treat from Vin Chet throughout the years. Their items are delicious and I have never had a bad experience with the food items at all. Nothing bad to say about this aspect at all.

However, I have to take off 3 stars, because I was quite disappointed at my last trip to see that in regards to the pandemic, the employees were not wearing face masks and also did not use gloves to place the baked goods into my take out box. Personally, It was quite off-putting and seemed rather irresponsible in a setting where food is being handled, especially nowadays. Now, Iโ€™ve only been there one time since the pandemic began, so I could have just come in to the bakery at a moment where it might have been slow and the employees didnโ€™t think to put a mask on when I walked in, but I have a feeling this is not the case given the lack of gloves and no signs anywhere asking for customers to follow social distancing/wear a mask.

I understand that many people have different viewpoints on the current pandemic, but in my opinion, it is inconsiderate and slightly concerning that a business whoโ€™s employees are handling food are not following the current guidelines. As much as I enjoy the products sold at Vin Chet, I donโ€™t think I will find myself back there any time soon for this reason alone. I also understand this is my personal opinion and not everyone feels the same way as I do about the current pandemic, but had I known that the employees wouldnโ€™t be taking precautions, especially around the food, I would not have visited. Iโ€™m writing this review to share my experience in the case that someone who is being cautious like myself will be aware of this...

I feel lucky to have this place so close to home, after realizing my new reality was not going to change and that the doctor restrictions were serious, having to eliminate gluten from my food option was a real challenge, I was trying to keep eating what I like but at a double price and with horrible taste. Finding Vin-Chet Bakery was a blessing, yes high prices are a fact but the big difference is the quality of their food and ingredients. With this health condition, I learned to read the food ingredients of everything that goes true my mouth, and I learned that the ingredients not complicated to pronounce were real and did not have any hidden risks, they were safer and made the food product of a better taste. Being able to eat a Sub sandwich, have muffins, and or something as simple as 2 slices of bread (their cottage bread is superb!!) OR one of their delicious doughnuts!!! is just worth every penny, and they have a Reward Program, last week I left with a free loaf of their delicious bread, and im 2 subs away from a free Vince sub, and like that, they always have something going on that don't happen at the local supermarket with gluten free food. With them I went from "๐Ÿ˜ฃ UGH! I have gluten intolerance and can't eat that" to "Oh! No thank you! I have gluten intolerance and got to watch over my food...

If you eat gluten free and you have not been here yet, you absolutely must visit. My fiance and I were traveling to Buffalo when I heard about Vin Chet on the Find Me Gluten Free app. I was just diagnosed with celiac disease about a year ago and itโ€™s been a hard adjustment as someone who has eaten gluten forever. This was the first time I have ever found a dedicated gluten free facility of any kind, and I wish I could keep coming back each week. Not only is the selection of sandwiches, desserts, bread and pantry items incredible- but the customer service is top tier. Since we wonโ€™t be able to come back for awhile, we got some paninis for lunch (which were INCREDIBLE) and a handful of goods to go. We talked with who I can only assume was an owner about the history of their business as well, and she was incredibly kind. She gave us a few free donuts after we finished up shopping just because I had mentioned that our hometown does not have any gluten free restaurants or bakeries. As silly as it is for some, this visit was so comforting and needed. This is the first time in a year I have truly enjoyed myself and didnโ€™t have to feel the stress of asking questions for celiac reasons. The employees were all so kind and welcoming. Iโ€™m looking forward to coming back the next time Iโ€™m...
