Snyder Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Town of Amherst

This is the only place in the area that's kitchen is open until 11:00 pm, during the week, during Covid! I can't even tell you how much I appreciate that! Bar stays open even later. You can order at the bar or a high top table or sit in a private booth in the Restraunt.

Friendly bar/ Restraunt with great tasting late night, or anytime, food. My favorite are the Cajun fingers, which taste completely different then what you'd expect. I normally don't like Cajun, but on the urging of my Son, who describes them as tasting like Chiavettas Chicken Fingers, I tried them. Now, I get them all the time! Was here on Fri. Oct. 26th for dinner. Was recommended by our hotel Hyatt Place which is close by. Very busy Friday night but got seated quickly. Very friendly waitress, she had her hands full because we only saw 2 waitresses?? We both ordered the fish and chips and started with some wings. We waited and waited (the restaurant was busy) and when the food came there was 1 order of wings and 1 fish and chips??? Just a misunderstanding and the waitress did deduct my fish and chips from our bill when it finally came. In short..

The good: authentic local feeling atmosphere people were enjoying themselves fun music on the jukebox waitress was fun and friendly they had Guiness! and enough other beer selections to please us both. Decently-stocked bar.

The less-good: the fries were lackluster the wings were indeed good, but I wouldn't call them the best if buffalo. We had Hot, and Cajun BBQ. Cajun BBQ was yummy. The hot tasted mild to medium, and arrived pretty dry.
