Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Babylon

In the area and feining for some yardie cooking, I almost drove past the location as the outside of the restaurant looks so desolate, if the door was not open I would have thought I just spent the last 17 minutes on a wasted trip. I decided to at least go in , not bad at all, could have been better but still looks better than the outside, so I decided to order something.

I was served with a smile by Camille, who at first came across as a little too familiar, in the end it was her way of saying welcome.

The food was the worst I had in a minute, considering I'm living in the boroughs of the city and I am a Yardies so I am VERY PROFICIENT in my evaluation. The patties was partially baked you can still taste the dough for my $5+, I asked along side, jerk chicken with oxtail gravy, the chicken was and smelled raw (unseasoned) and the rice was drowning in oil.

Simple put....if this is how you represent your culture CLOSE THE PLACE DOWN! put passion and pride into the franchise and the business while telling others the story of your culture through food.

I wasted my time, my money and now I'm urged to review the establishment inorder for you all to do better .

Please avoid this place at all cost . It’s the worst golden crust I have ever been to . They destroyed the franchise name . It is evident that the owner is cheap and refuses to invest in central air or other noticeably upgrades. The patties were stale, because the warmer that they are kept in was apparently not working . The man uses a fan to cool his establishment . My friend and I were drowning in sweat.I want to know how they are able to keep cooked food fresh to serve to the public. t Even the 2 workers were noticeably sweating and did not know how to respond to our complaints . This place does not deserve not even a star . The poor upkeep of this establishment speaks volumes about the character of the owner . I was soo appalled and embarrassed when I brought my friend from out of state there. . The only thing that was probably fresh there , were the cold beverages . Disgraceful !!! The place is not even close to be a true representation of the Jamaican culture . We take pride in whatever products we share/sell. Do better I am begging . Go back to the drawing board and...

So today 8/11/21 i place a order through Uber eats. My order was consist of Curry goat with roti, and jerk chicken wings with rice and peas. When the driver pulled up and hand me my bag with my order i head straight for the kitchen. When i took out the items to my surprise the curry goat and roti was there but no jerk wings with rice and peas. There was a note written on the bag stating that the the jerk chicken wasn't ready so they send stew chicken instead. Am so angry and very very disappointed. So I called the store and a so call manager told me that she was the one who share my order (MANAGER) should know better to called me and tell me that the jerk chicken wasn't ready. To make matters worse the roti was placed at the bottom of the container and the curry goat and vegetable was placed on the roti. The roti was so saggy and distasteful (yack). I just lost over $32 for garbage. Smh it was my first and last order from this restaurant. Am very very very disappointed and I'll never...
