Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Town of Batavia

We stayed at the holiday Inn off of the thruway. We thought ordering out would be great. We order, I get in the pick up line, and immediately the food gets brought out. There are 6 of us, there's a lot of food, the guy reads off my receipt, kind of points at everything, I take a quick peak as I get it in the car, looks like everything is there. We go right down to the pool, and about 45 minutes later go back up to eat. We are missing a $21 steak. I call and say hey I picked up my food about 45 minutes ago, we are missing a steak. They find my order, see I paid for a steak, and say alright come back we'll put one on the grill. This is annoying, however they seem to be taking care of it. I get to the pick up line, they come out and ask me what my order is I tell them my name and I'm here to pick up the steak my order is missing. 10 minutes later they call and ask how I want the steak cooked. I said we ordered it medium well, that will be good. I figure they just started cooking it... Ok i'll give them 15 minutes. Well 20 minutes goes by, I call and say hi I'm here in the pick up area, been waiting about 35 minutes for a steak that was missed on my original order. "oh yeah yeah its coming right out". 10 minutes later I call again and say the usual, this is ridiculous Where's my steak please consider refunding. "sir your steak is coming out right now", and it does. Back to the hotel,wife cuts in to it, completely red and cool inside. Not just in the middle. From the middle all the way to the outside, completely raw. Our room had a microwave. Nuked it. Called Applebee's to demand a refund. Got hung up on 3 times, and gave up....

Came here before work to have dinner with a few friends last night around 9pm.

Don't get me wrong, the food and drinks have always been really good in my experiences at this Applebees Location, and I've always enjoyed my time when I go out.

BUT THE BEST PART ...

I literally cannot put into words how AMAZING our waitress was. (I really wish I remembered her name, but all I can remember is that she was so excited that she had just purchased her first home)

From the second she came up to our table, she had a smile on her face, and consistently put one on all of ours as well.

Not only was she extremely friendly, polite, well mannered, and sweet.. but she 100% was amazing at her job. So attentive and genuinely concerned if we were enjoying ourselves and our food.

I've been to hundreds and hundreds of restaurants in my life, but she was by far one of the best waitresses we've ever had the pleasure to have serve us. This girl DEFINED customer service and I can't wait to tell all of my other friends to come here, and hopefully have her take care of them. It was genuinely amazing to see someone do such a great job with a smile, and because of her, I guarantee that not only will my friends and I be back, but if anyone ever asks me for a recommendation, (as I work at a local batavia hotel) I will 100% send them to this Location.

Can't say thank you enough, and can't wait...

My family and I were visiting from out of state and decided to have dinner one night (4/1/18) of our stay with a total of 9 and then met up with an old friend for drinks the next night (4/2/18) as a group of 7. Our food and waitresses on both nights were great. The only down fall was the attitude we received from Hostess Kim the night of 4/2 towards our group of 7 people. We asked to sit at a table or booth in the bar as we were not ordering meals just drinks and an appetizer. She was trying to refuse to seat us in the bar and said we could not seat 7 people in a large booth in a BAR area for just drinks during 1/2 price appetizer time as other people who wanted appetizers sit there. As we insisted to sit in the bar and seated ourselves in a large booth my daughter, who is a restaurant assistant manager, heard and saw hostess Kim shake her head with a pissed off look and give a negative response to our backs as we walked away. When we mentioned how she acted to our waitress the waitress was shocked and not happy with how she had treated us and said we were more than welcome to sit there and order just drinks. Not very hospitable for a hostess who is suppose to...
