so beyond impressed with this restaurant, for multiple reasons. Seriously! Let me start with the fct that we drove 40 minutes out of the way to try this place, so we had high expectations to start. So the reservation. I made it on open table, with options for indoor or outdoor dining. I am one of those people who are very concerned with covid and eating out, so I called to check on what the outdoor seating was like , and how they were handling rain. I had called 2 other restaurants prior who said all seating would move inside... this made me nervous, how can you move outdoors in and STILL follow regulations and distancing?! I spoke with Donna at Bliss and she guaranteed me they were covered and I could be outside. Fast forward 10 min before my reservation, I receive a phone call from Ron, informing me my table would be about 10-15 min late as they had to disinfect when the other people finished, and asked if i would I like to wait in my car and they'd call me em ready or grab a drink from the bar, which was also fully distanced. I so appreciated this. We went in side and got a drink. So anyway, inside guys, it was super cute! The lights and decor on ceiling, the rustic yet modern feel, I loved it. At the bar they had every 2 seats separated by plexi and EVERY table was definitely more than 6 feet apart. When our table was ready we waited for all others to finish walking from tables and were escorted by masked employees to the seat . You were seated against the rail, with planter boxes dividing the tables, and to be honest, you couldnt even see or hear the next table. It was such a pleasure. Now the food, delicious! We had calamari and brussel sprouts to start, skirt steak and short ribs for entrees. It was so good that when they asked if we wanted dessert, too be honest we were so beyond full we couldnt even think about having it. Oh and if you are hummus eater, their homemade hummus was amazing. Anyway, my point here is guys, if you have a chance to try this restaurant, do it, it is worth it! You wont regret it. We will...
Read moreLet me just start off by saying the food was delicious. I had two issues with this place. 1. We went on valentine's day and they had a pre fixe menu and there was no price literally anywhere. That would be ok if the magic hidden number was something affordable. Nope. We got the Check and it was $150 for two (we did not get any alchohol beverages) . 2. Our waitress was really sweet but we were sitting at our table for 45 mins with no bread at all. Our plates were very very small so the bread would of been perfect if we got it when we were supposed to. We were still hungry after our meals that ws actually brought up about the damn bread basket ( so embarrassing but after waiting an hour to be sat down ( we had reservations) in a room with a bunch of people crammed in at the bar acting like they were at Tara's in pj we didnt care. We wanted our bread lol. As I said the meal was fantastic but at $75 bucks a head it better be. Def think they need to put the prices on things like that bc we literally almost didnt have enough. And do u know how embarrassing that would be on valentines day for any man ?...
Read moreHere you go… the straight scoop… from a senior, active couple dining before a “show” at Staller Auditorium. Right out of the gate if you decide to go to “Bliss” ask for Robin, a wonderful Server in every regard! Bliss is a relatively small place and the interior is beautifully decorated but your gonna be “squeezed in” … for some not a big deal for others the cacophony may be a little too much! … Beready to make new friends…! The cuisine… hmmmm… my dish (the vegi ravioli and the burratta) both great - my beautiful wife’s mashed potatoes and short ribs not so much… sorry to say the mashed potato’s were “not good” at all… with Robin’s help (saving the day with a nice serving of gravy) the meal was saved but what a disappointment… I’m thinking maybe a 9 y.o. student chef prepared them! Crème Brûlée… absolutely not worth the $10.00 price tag… probably prepared by the same 9 y.o. trainee chef… Bottom line: no better than a three average however hats off to Robin for turning a so-so experience into a relatively nice...
