Buckley's Irish Pub — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Went for burger night ,Its been a long time since ive been there and thought we would check it out. What a BIG MISTAKE!!!!! DONT WAIST YOUR TIME!!! Asked for a med rare burger and it came out RARE,My bun was soaked with blood! So gross,finallly got the waitress and asked to have it cooked more.waited about 10 minutes and got it back,it was sooooo well done and half the size the bun was burnt i mean really burnt ,it smelt like a tire factory that burnt down.The waitress never came over and asked if it was ok!I did tell her it was our first time back after years,she could care less,lol i get it not too professional .Now for the atmosphere,way too bright,Half the dining room was taken by a bunch of guys playing poker,Felt like i was in my cousin vinnys basement!!! what a joke!!! Ease of ordering over phone. Pickup was a bit frustrating. Nobody near or around hostess stand. Had to wait a few minutes. Girl that greeted me was nice asked my name and I asked her a question she said she would get my food and find out. She disappeared never to be seen again. Random boy brought out my food and I waited for her Never came back but other waitresses helped me. Burger was great but they forgot my lettuce and tomato that’ she asked me if I wanted over the phone. Hubbys fish and chips were ok we substituted the fries for veggies. Charged an upcharge for the switch. Didn’t feel like fish and chips was worth 27.50. Took me a total of 15 min to leave with my takeout order. Service really needs to improve. Beyond the BUGS it was great to be back at Buckely's. The food was good, the service friendly and just like all the days gone by the place was packed.

The layout in the restaurant is completely different. No more left side dining room, no more backroom where the bands would play complete with dance floor and booths. The fire destroyed that original building and this foot print and layout is not the same.

I'm sure Buckley's will do well and we'll be back for sure. Hoping the fruit flies are all gone so that I can bump this to 4 stars. We really don't want a repeat...
