Farmingville Bagels & Eatery — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to warn people of this establishment. Ordered a crispy chicken wrap, which was pretty disgusting. There was one small piece of chicken that seemed like it was cooked last week. Dry and saturated with old oil. The macaroni side salad tasted rancid. Only ate 2 forks worth and threw it out. Coffee was decent. $14 for a wrap and 2 small side salads of this quality was a rip off. Brendels Bagels used to be great. We'd go all the time. But since it changed ownership, it's gone down hill. Plus, there is hardly anything in the display cases. So weird to see them empty on a Sunday at 10:00am. I know times are tough, but they have to do better or else they'll be out of business. That might not be a bad thing though. We need Brendel's Bagels back or an owner that cares about putting out quality food at a decent price. Absolutely NOT Recommended! Service poor, dragging their feet and dont know what they are doing. Placed an egg sandwich order. A simple order, 2 egg sandwiches, buttered roll and 3 danish/cookies.Waited and waited.They charged me double for my order. Had to put that out there. I paid took home sandwiches, wrong one! One of the Danishes were broken in half to be squeezed into a container!, Ugggghhhh😬really? Buttered roll hard and just chunk butter on one side not even spread!😩Drinks missing, really? I ordered bagels with cream cheese and an extra dozen bagels for my sons via Seamless. The bagels were completely stale! I contacted Seamless customer service to describe my issues to them and sent pictures of the hard inedible bagels. Customer service contacted BRENDELS only to hear that i should throw my kids in the car and RETURN THE BAGELS (during Covid-19 no less) .. so you pay for delivery and tip for a driver, only to be told to return garbage bagels to get new ones. What are they doing with the returned bagels? Giving them to someone else? Is that why mine were so stale? How is it in ANY WAY safe, sanitary or okay to take FOOD THAT WAS IN SOMEONES HOUSE AND HANDS back into any establishment at this time? My advice, stay away if you want to...
