BEWARE DO NOT USE YOUR DEBIT CARD AT ALDI! THEY DOUBLE CHARGED ANYONE THAT USED A CARD ON 6/21! CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS! Yes aldi has the best prices but no ability to contact anyone in customer service. The # they give explains that prices are so low because they have no reachable person and cuts you off. Their cash register froze during my transaction. After trying 3 times the manager took my receipt and rang the order up on another register. When I checked my bank account the next day they had charged me twice $76.06. Contacted my bank and they froze my debit card and I cannot get another card for 10 days.i had to email aldi which said they check emails all day but emailed them at 9 am and got a phone call from an offshore person at 5 pm who said they would reverse the charge in 10 DAYS.this is my money and they are keeping it for 10 days!!!I am unemployed and need all my money. Due to no debit card I am inable to get money out because my credit union is an hour drive and I shop once every three weeks because the closest aldi with traffic takes me over an hour to get to. ALDI MUST PROVIDE BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE THAN THIS! Apologies from an offshore company is not enough! Read moreI've been to the Aldi's in Shirley 3 times, and purposely walked through all isles to see where everything is. The layout of the store is similar to the Aldi in Riverhead, so everything was very easy to find. The label's for the aisles are visible, and the isles usually are very clean with nothing on the ground. The workers on the floor are around putting things away or even walking through the aisles to see if anything has been misplaced. There are a few goods that are packed tightly in a corner so you can easily miss them, so be sure to not rush by if you need something specific. If you're looking for a particular good that isn't always there and is pretty popular, be sure to buy it during your visit because it may not be there next time! Overall, the Aldi in Shirley is still fairly new to the location, and a bit small, but definitely worth going to. The problem is when you have more than one cash register open everyone line ’s up in one line, when getting to the register they choose which line to be on taking more time to check out, and long lines. And frustrating events, f bombs, arguing. Please remedy this situation!! place a sign clearly noting that when more than one register is open more than one line is appropriate.
