Kong Dog is a chain that actually I have to say is pretty darn good.
I'm giving 3 stars but in reality I would give this place more of a 3.5 to 3.9 ish rating honestly. So I hate to give it three, it is really tasty, super sugary, I only had the original will be back though to try more. The menu can be a bit overwhelming with having chicken, french fries, I say the two corn dogs with a drink is a good combo for roughly 16 dollars I think. For a Corn dog and a drink it was 11 not bad, honestly I would not waste time trying the bubble tea, it looks good but I think the lemonade is better. It is just your typical lemonade I really liked the mango lemonade, it was just typical sugary mango juice with a slightly sour hit but nothing crazy. Went very well with the corndog.
All I had was the original with no sauce and sugar on it. It was good! Very big, a bit of the rice crispy treats on my, I can't complain guessing they make them near each other but that kind off irks me since I hate cheetos so if I had some cheetos on my I would not be to happy.
Now the real complaint is, honestly this place is slow. I get it, the corn dogs are made to order so I respect that, but on a weekend when this place is crowded I cannot even imagine it, in fact I would totally avoid it if I was here for that. They were slow for a weekday honestly it took I would say legit 10 to 15 minutes which looking at other reviews and talking with friends seems to be lucky... again I get it they make it to order so I don't want to be that person I wouldn't complain, I think for self ordering they should have some warning or text system that tells you when your order is ready, I honestly think that is way wiser for a mall to have where a lot of people want to use their time wisely in a mall. Shock for a Korean company that haven't set anything up like that... anyway maybe the physical sit down or bigger locations are better.
I do not like cheese so I only got just a beef one but it was darn good I thought! Huge and really tasty when hot, will hurt the GERD so have some water or a drink ready haha!
My verdict is, I say if you wanna try this place go on a weekday if you can or later in the day on a weekday, it closes at 8pm on weekdays but weekends stays open later. The price is OK but the combos are fair, I haven't tried anything else other than corn dogs on the menu and I do think it the menu pictures makes the other things look tasty but it makes me think they are just trying very hard to cover everything, but the corn dogs I can defend, also like to warn these corn dogs are filling and high in calories, one of them is like near 900 I think it is 800 wow, be aware! So I say try it, but be aware of the things I face during...
Read morei went there 2 times since it opened. the first time i just wanted french fries and waited 25 minutes for it and when i got it, it was cold almost like they didn’t cook it. i went back a 2 days later to get the original dog with sugar and waited 38 minutes (the mall even closed and they still didn’t have everyone’s order ready) to get one that only had sugar on one quarter of it. The owner told me he lost my order so he took my receipt and proceeded to take one that was sitting on the table with over 12 dogs that were sitting there the whole time for who knows how long. although the food is decently good it is not worth the wait. the people who work there are all teenagers that you can tell they are tired of working there. they have poor management skills and have people waiting there for far too long for their food. I am very unimpressed at the performance of this franchise since they have people ordering and having them wait over 20 minutes for their food but still not doing anything to try and pick up the pace. they have only been open for approximately one week and my coworkers (i work at the mall) all are frustrated with the wait time it takes...
Read moreI ordered six Kong dogs. When I opened the box at home I noticed they forgot the ketchup I asked for on the side. But it only gets worse from there. The mozzarella filling is sparse and the mozzarella corn dogs are mostly hollow as a result. All the corn dogs had a weird after taste that's just kind of gross. They botched the sweet chili dog. I don't know if they made it poorly or maybe they threw it into the box roughly but all the flavoring on top had fallen off. The most egregious part is that they gave me a completely burnt sweet potato corn dog. I couldn't believe they would serve a completely burned item and took a bite to confirm this. It's one thing to make terrible tasting food but it's a whole new low to think it's acceptable to give a customer obviously burnt food.
I was really looking forward to trying Kong dog and I came out sorely disappointed. I highly recommend everyone to steer clear of this place. It's overpriced and tastes nothing like the ones you can get in the city. To top it off, they'll give you...
