I recently had the pleasure of dining at Outback Steakhouse, and I must say that Emma, our server, truly made the evening unforgettable. From the moment we were greeted with her warm smile to the final goodbye, Emma provided exceptional service that went above and beyond our expectations. Emma's attentiveness and knowledge of the menu were remarkable. She took the time to explain various dishes, offered insightful recommendations, and accommodated our dietary preferences with ease. Throughout the meal, Emma demonstrated impeccable timing, ensuring that our drinks were refilled and that our courses were delivered promptly. Yesterday I had dinner with my family and we chose outback in Holbrook.. even though we live in Commack. My family and I have been coming here for years, always have had a good time, but yesterday’s experience made it exceptional. We come in and we see smiles at the door when we are greeted by the hosts. We get sat pretty quickly at one of the nice round tables close to the bathroom.. which was great with all the kids we had! Our waitress Angelique came over fast, with so much knowledge on the menu and suggesting her personal favorites. We order cheese fries and the new mozzarella sticks she suggested and wow amazing !! The kids were getting antsy waiting for the food and Angelique noticed, she came over with a few sharks to give to the kids and it really made the night, something so little but going the extra step to make my family feel more than the typical guests.We have had plenty of wait staff here, and although we never had a bad experience , Angelique really was beyond exceptional. Food was great as always, I got the Alice springs, my husband a ribeye and coconut shrimp and the kids almost all the kid menu you can think of! Angelique suggested I tried the new Jassie drink and it was delicious. Although we wanted dessert. We were way too full to attempt . We have been regulars at this Outback’s for almost 20 years. My husband and I typically sit in the bar area, unless we have a larger group, and the different bartenders and managers over the years remember us. Drinks and service have always been good, we know the menu well enough to know what is a hit and what is a miss. So, when we come here, we know what to expect. In the past two years or so, we’ve noticed turnover in the staff, and times when there does not seem to be enough staff on hand. Today, we went in after an early movie around 3 pm and it was busier than you’d expect for that time, but a rainy Memorial Day has people like us looking for something to do. We sat at a booth in the bar area and the bartender took our order. Unfortunately, it took over a half hour to receive our meals. We actually started to joke about going next door for Chinese takeout if we didn’t get our order by the time we finished our Second round of drinks. My husband’s meal was cool, missing a topping and his potato was undercooked. My meal was fine, but I felt bad because we’d waited so long we just wanted to eat at that point. So, the manager was making the rounds and my husband perked up because he knew he’d have a chance to let him know about his meal. Manager never made it to us because he had a problem to resolve with another table, which is when we noticed the table behind us complaining too. Our last DoorDash order was cool as well.
