Starbucks — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Mistakes happen, I’m not unreasonable. A big order from a regular came in & the staff managed the order well . I see they work well together . The man ordered a ton of drinks & Food , He grabbed my tiny bag ( his mistake right ) However She never called my name . I KNOW because I left my phone in my car and had nothing to do but watch them . His Huge bag was sitting there ( they should have caught that ) .I waited till I saw no food was being prepared . And I asked where it was . Well the one Male ( sorry to assume pronouns) but He was the only male member on staff . He Grabs the big bag and starts saying ohhh no he must have taken hers . Again No problem I felt sorry for the man too . But his only focus was on this regular costumer with ZERO concern that I’ve been sitting there for 25 minutes! No rush to remedy the situation for me . THEN I said it’s ok he’s the one who took the wrong bag , not your Fault But you never called my name .. She said oh but I did ( trust me I was starving ) I was the only person in there not with their face in a phone..I told her she absolutely did not and why … I would NOT have taken anything for free if I was offered .. Because that’s not really my goal. It wouldn’t break The Bank if she offered me a cake pop or cookie as a gesture at least .. Where do I begin when writing a review for the Starbucks on Waverly Avenue in Patchogue? That is actually quite easy, with names; Jayla, Katie, Gavin, Payton and Frances. It starts with these amazing baristas behind the counter, they’re amazing personalities that shine through their smiles, their happy eyes and award-winning personalities. Not only do they take the time to ask, genuinely, how my day has been, along with my daughter, remembering past conversations, and inquiring about specific things, and visa-versa. They have all become good friends to my daughter and myself, and she looks forward to going to see them throughout the week. The staff could not possibly be friendlier. In terms of service, not only is your order prepared in record time, but to perfection as well. They never disappoint! Apart from the items ordered tasting absolutely delicious, the staff actually writes inspiring messages on the cups & paper bags; it adds such a special personal touch. I have never seen that done before at any other Starbucks, or coffee shop. With regard to the atmosphere, all of the above just makes it the perfect place that it is. This Starbucks really took me by surprise. I have to admit I really did "judge a book by its cover" this Starbucks does not look like your typical Starbucks and it definitely has some ware and tear. But when I walked in it was so cute and cozy. It was very spacious and it looked really nice inside. They really do need to update/repair their menu boards because they're very old and slanted. The tables were fairly clean the could use more care but the floor looked great and overall it was very clean. The staff greeted me with a smile and they were all super sweet.
