LINDSEY THE SO CALLED STORE MANAGER SO RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL*
To whom it may concern:
My wife and I as well as my family frequent Best Buy in Patchogue on 499 Sunrise Highway North Service road. This past weekend we purchase a Samsung Dryer and a Samsung 75 inch television the experience was great everyone we worked with was really nice and professional. We had our television delivered today and this is where everything went wrong. The Geeksquad who delivered our television tells us they are shocked about the television we had paid to be removed and that is impossible since not only the store manager but the salesmen all couldn’t believe how long we had our television and said they never last that long, however they said they cannot remove the television for us and they would have another company come do it for us we understood and was a bit unhappy but oh well what can you do.
This is my complaint: My wife and I are so taken back when we called to schedule the pick up for our television we spoke with a girl named Lindsey She stated she was the store manager but I am perplexed to believe that after how unprofessional and rude she was. We told Lindsey being our television was delivered today Tuesday May 8th she really didn't care and told us the soonest this could be picked up was Friday the 11th she told us we have to have the television sit in our Den until Friday Now this takes up the room its a 70 inch rear projection television which everyone was more than aware of and Lindsey didn't care about how we felt then began to tell us that they can ONLY come from WINDOW OF 7am to 7pm that was our window like it or not when in today's world with all the technology that's all she could do when the Store made a mistake Not US.I stated if this cant be done within a reasonable time frame 8am to 12noon perhaps the purchase was made under the wrong impression and perhaps we should think about that THEN SHE JUST HUNG UP "I WAS LIKE IS THIS GIRL FOR REAL SHE DEALS WITH CUSTOMERS AND ACTS THIS WAY????? I called back immediately and of course she is no where to be found so typical of a person like that so I spoke to the real Store manager and he was A SUPER NICE GUY and gave us a window of 8am to 12 noon so much more helpful especially being we took off today all day because the dryer be also purchased could not be delivered at the same time but we were very happy with the purchase so made it work.
Lindsey was very Unprofessional and shouldn't be dealing with the public at all. sHE SHOULD BE STACKING...
Read moreI ordered some items that were to be picked up in store. On the Best Buy website it says you have to present your ID when picking up items. I proceeded to go to the store knowing I had misplaced my wallet and wanted to see if I could go there and possibly get my items without physically having my ID. I had a picture of my ID on my phone as I have had to send it through email for other reasons previously due to covid. I was not sure I would be able to get my items using just the picture of my ID but it had my picture, my name, and my address to match for the purchase info they had on file. I was also prepared to show the emails with the receipts for the items I purchased and also willing to show my credit card statement showing the charges for the items. As I got there I spoke to an older peppered haired gentleman with glasses named James who proceeded to tell me that there was nothing he could do as he needed my physical license there to give me my items as he “had to scan the back of my ID”. now mind you I am a total tech member and I shop at Best Buy regularly so I know that he is lying to me. Ive spent close to if not over 5k there in the last 2 months for Christmas and I’ve never had someone scan my ID. No problem though maybe it was a rule that no one else followed that I was unaware of so I didn’t even fight it. I was already out shopping for items in the area so I figured I’d at least try. After a couple of hours and finding my license I come back, a woman greets me at the pick up window, glances at my ID, brings me my items and I leave. Before leaving I explained to her the situation I had with james and she explains to me that the physical ID is need in person for pick up but said they don’t scan it. This confirmed what I already knew. At this point I’m not even mad I had to leave and come back once I found my license. I’m more bad that James as an adult had to lie about the reason for having the ID. He didn’t need to lie he could have just simply said it was store policy and unfortunately there is nothing I can do. Why lie? For moral reasons based on that alone I will no longer be spending my money at this location. Read moreDo NOT buy appliances from Best Buy. Not only this Best Buy, but from the whole chain. Their 3rd party delivery services are the worst. "Joe Shmo's" appliances would have better service. So here's my story of horrible experiences with Best Buy.
I had ordered appliances (Fridge and Washer/Dryer) from the Patchogue store in January. They put my New Jersey address using Patchogue, NY as the city and state... So, I took the day off for nothing and my order never came. Then... they rescheduled my delivery for 1 week later, which was scheduled to be delivered between 12-4PM. Another day to take off. They called me the day before and said your delivery is now going to be between 4-8PM. So now here starts Best Buy's professional delivery services:
7:30PM The delivery person calls me to say they are running 1 hour late. 8:30PM The delivery person calls me to say they are running 30 mins late still. 9:30PM The delivery person calls to say they will be 1 hour late still. (At this point I should have canceled the order but I really needed a washer/dryer) 10:30PM I call the delivery person back they said it will be another hour. 11:30PM They call to say they are 30 minutes away but on the way, do you want the us to come? I said NO, not letting delivery people at my house at midnight. So.. he said he would deliver 8AM in the morning. (Now I have to go to work late). 8AM comes along & they bring the washer dryer, and notice that Best Buy hasn't put a stacking kit for the washer dryer on my order. So they CAN'T deliver.
I called up Best Buy, spoke with the manager, and he said he won't be able to get the stacking kit out today, it can take a few days to a week. So... this is their escalation process... Telling the customer to wait another week so they can get the order right. No other option!
If you're still reading this... just stop yourself from walking into Best Buy to order appliances. It's not worth it. I don't wish this experience on...
