Ted's Fish Fry — Restaurant in Town of Brunswick

This was the most disgusting place I have ever eaten at! My girlfriend and I went here for dinner and we threw most of our food away. She ordered fried scallops which were $12.10 and she got four soggy and leathery scallops with a hot dog bun on the side. We ordered a large cheese fry to share which was $4.80 I believe and the fries were absolutely disgusting they must be fried in peanut oil or something because They tasted like they came from a can of cheap peanuts. We are about three fries and threw them out. I got a fish fry which was cold and bland. On a hot dog roll that was half the size of the fish. We got two drinks mine was piss warm even though it came right from the fridge. And finally we got a pint of New England clam chowder that was thicker than molasses in January. Our total came to $34 and change. We were not offered a receipt so I cannot tell you the exact price but it was awful. Then to top it off the women’s bathroom was out of soup. I 100% would not recommend this place to anyone I’m not sure how this place is even still in business. Oh and by the way I tried asking for ketchup and was left standing for 5 minutes saying “excuse me” to the women who rang us out playing on her phone three feet away until the cook who was in the middle of making something asked me how she could help. To Ted’s Fish Fry, a most revered outpost of deep-fried mastery, I journeyed. Ordered, I did, the Big Ted’s Fish Platter—a feast grand enough for even the hungriest of Jedi. Fried fish, shrimp, scallops, and clam strips, accompanied by golden onion rings and a roll, this platter was. Crispy on the outside, tender within—perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

Swift and efficient, the counter service was. Hot and fresh, the food arrived, as if guided by the Force itself.

Upon the walls, many awards there were, proclaiming this establishment the best in their quadrant. Deserved, such recognition is. Understand why, I do.

Seating, only booths they offer. A mix of tables and booths, perhaps a wiser path it would be. Yet, a disturbance in my dining experience, this was not.

Great value, this place provides. Prices, most reasonable they are. A phenomenal fish fry, this outpost delivers.

I went in just to get a gift card on Sat. the 6th and I left got in my car and remembered the smell of food was great so I called my friend and went back in and got 1 lunch special which you can get any time it's not for lunch and a fish fry. I took it to my friends house and everything was delicious their coleslaw is one of the best and I'm very picky, because some are too vinagry and theirs isn't. They also give you plenty of fries it's enough for 2 people. You definitely get your money's worth. I love Ted's fish it's the best place. The service is always great and everybody is very friendly that work there. It's too bad the one located on 2nd Ave closed that was right around the corner from my friends and the one on Hoosick is too far and not convenient for all those in that area. The food &...
