Nestico's Too — Restaurant in Town of Camillus

Our regular breakfast place is Finally Ours at the corner of Seneca Turnpike and Cedarvale Road, so this review of Nestico's Too, near Fairmount Fair, will be in comparison to that restaurant. Nestico's fried eggs, and sausage links were excellent. Both slightly better than the equivalent items served at Finally Ours. However, the wheat toast, pancakes, butter/margarine, and maple/pancake syrup where a step below those served at Finally Ours. Also, Nestico's does not place butter, jam, and cream packets on the table, so you have to request them. A fulfilling breakfast at Nestico's is the Eggs with Meat which comes with your choice of toast. If you're really hungry, order the Farmhouse Platter which comes with hash browns, eggs, and toast on one platter, plus bacon, sausage, and ham on a second. The pancake combo is also filling, although the pancakes syrup has little taste. Overall, Finally Ours is the clear winner, but the breakfast at Nestico's is also good. A third breakfast place nearby is Denny's in the Camillus Commons, but it falls far short of the other two. PANDEMIC UPDATE: Staff working behind the counter and in the kitchen did not wear masks. There was no notice posted on the door requesting that customers wear masks entering the restaurant until seated. This is despite the fact that at this time the state government recommends all people wear masks indoors even if vaccinated, and the Delta-variant infection rate in Onondaga County is high. We will not be returning to this restaurant until the danger from covid is over. POST-PANDEMIC UPDATE: My wife and I returned after 2 years to enjoy their Farmhouse Platter and Pancake Combo for breakfast. Both were very good. One exceptional item in both orders was their link...

I wanted to give this rating a zero for service. As I was promised sarcasm for service per the shirt some of the servers wear...yet...Ami the server was highly lacking in sarcasm. She asked me twice if I needed a refill on my water. Asked me three times if everything was good and did I need anything. After she gave me the check she said no rush and to take my time.

I call bull honkey. I came in for sarcasm and expected sarcasm...Unfortunately I will have to return in the near future to evaluate if their sarcasm skills have improved.

Food here is always hearty, healthy, or a combo of the two. And their oatmeal is phenomenal. You can substitute the sausage and bacon for chicken on the breakfast burrito with a slight upcharge.

Atmosphere is hit or miss. Sometimes its the church crowd dressed in their finest, and other times.you can have guys like today such as the retiree who had a Star Wars T-shirts on, or the guy from Santa Monica who had a Nerf shirt on. No judgements though, as I am all about Star Wars, and Nerf Wars at Christmas time with the family.

Also, I think I saw the gentleman with the Star Wars T-shirt on at church one day. 🤣 As a huge Star War and Star Trek fan I was thrilled ro see that. However, don't judge me because I like both Star Wars and Star Trek....(darned trekies)!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The entire Nesticis Too crew is invited to church. As they are a pretty cool gang! Ami and her family aren't invited though until she learns how to be a bit more sarcastic as promised! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

And to all those boys in the back who were construction workers and town boys staring at me and talking under your breath. Shame on you as I heard what you said!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Oh man I love small...

10/7/13. My 75 year old mother was here from Mass. and wanted to take me out for breakfast. After searching for the best place in syracuse, Nesticos Too came out around 2cd to Stella's. The past review for eggs Benedict sounded great so off we went. It was around 7:30am and the resteraunt was quiet and the ambiance was great. The waitress was very friendly and her smile was warm and inviting. There were a couple of aggressive fly's buzzin around but I know it's hard to control. I ordered my eggs benedict with much anticipation,mom had eggs toast and home fries. I got a little annoyed when I saw other customers arriving and being served before us.My mother mentioned maybe they are regulars or call ahead to have there meal ready..NOT! When are meal arrived I was sooooooo disappointed. Home fries were luke warm dry and crusty hard as if they were prepared around 5am then thrown on the grill for about a second and they were just horrible. When I cut into the eggs benedict the yoke and sauce were appealing then I searched for the canadian bacon. A ha triangular shaped looked like ham the size of 1/4" by 1/4 " under each egg on a dollar store english muffin. Wow for $7.95 there profit margin must be 90% markup. I went to say something but my mom just said she will never be back and I live here and for sure I'll make the trip to Stella"s... For shame Mr. Nestico..I give 1 star for the waitress and...
