China House Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Camillus

I am wary of reviews that give one star and tell people to go somewhere else. There sure is a lot of that in this area.

Service is straightforward. They have a lot of orders and they do a lot. Don't expect the flowery "Service with a smile" stuff. I prefer this. I just want my food, and they just want to make it and get it out the door. It's a great symbiotic relationship.

Their website screams "We had some kid make this a while ago for school credit and we haven't looked at it in a while." They give everyone their paper menus. The price is great for us and we get a good selection.

The food is Chinese food. You order from the usual selection of Specials, rices, beef platters, etc. and you get the inexpensive rendition of it in some easy to carry box.

This is a usual Chinese restaurant in a busy commercial area that is competing with usual fast food franchises. Temper your expectations. If you're on the Internet looking for some fancy place that sells fancy food, you need to relearn how to use the internet to find restaurants.

The lot is pretty easy to access. Most orders are going to be order and take out. This is not a sit-down restaurant...

Overall the WORST experience i have ever had at a restaurant!! RUDE while ordering & was HUNG UP on first time and again on call back for a total. The food was POORLY made, POORLY packaged and TASTE was SUB PAR! Items were GREASE SOAKED & BLAND. None of the online prices were correct to what the charged us, nearly a $6 difference!?!? When i asked for a itemized receipt I was handed a Credit card receipt an was told "good bye" and RUDELY turned their back to me..? And another customer was getting TREATED EVEN WORST off then I was. I work only a block or so away from this restaurant, and I eat there 3-4 times a year when the mood strikes me to eat chinese for lunch instead of leftovers. This place has the best chinese food I have had in the CNY area. The portions are large, the meals and sauces are great, so are the fried rice and egg rolls. Dumplings could be better, but I like the pasta shell thinner.. there's is pretty thick... but hey, no one's perfect! I would highly...
